Should i buy a newer 08 for more money with more miles. Or buy a cheaper 05 with less miles. 05 has 17,6k miles 08 has 31k. Miles.

Is there any reason to spend more for the same car. I plan on upgrading the stereo and nav system on both so thats not a factor. Just want some thoughts. Are the 05's less reliable or anything like that?.

Is it mechanically more reliable? Just want to know if an older car will give more problems or cost me a lot more money in the long term. Because as far as interior features and such i will be heavily customizing the car as that is what i enjoy.

Given the choice, the 08. The 05 is an early model with many known problems. The 08 has known problems too, just less of them

I would not hesitate t buy the newer car even though it has more miles. Miles do not really hurt a car even though the BB value may be down. The older year class has had more issues and all that time sitting may have been more damaging than the other one rolling down the road.

the 2008 had enhancements, different ecu for a start, better tire monitoring, better in car entertainment, auto trunk closing the list goes on, mileage is not a big deal if the car has been well maintained, drive an 05 and then the 08 and you will see the difference.

I have a question can I retrofit the 2012 Nav which has sim card to the old car?
does it need new LCD cluster also?
how about the wiring?
Regards

System is too integrated, so as best I recall you can do it... Provided you also upgrade most of the car to 2012 spec.

That was humor of course, as Bentley offers no upgrade ability like that. You can have someone fit an 'over screen' of sorts for GPS.
