speedometer light went out need help please

i have an 06 continental GT and my speedometer lights went out? the needles light up at night but the clusters back lights dont (temp, gas, speed, RPM). i have to estimate my speed when im driving at night sine no number show up. the display screen works fine. has this happened to anyone on here before? i check the fuses and they all seem fine. im thinking it might be a bulb that went out in the cluster?? if so it seems like its going to be a pain to fix?

any useful feedback is greatly appreciated

thanks, Alex

Seems to be a pretty common failure with the instrument cluster, there's a number of places that provide repair service for the cluster itself. You could also have it replaced, but it'll have to be re-coded to the car.

So it's a cluster bulb then? I couldn't find any info on my situation. I can probably change the bulb out my self if that's the case?

it could just be the backlight or it could be the transformer on the board

Guys,

There is no backlight or bulbs, they are individual LED chips, see attached picture, I doubt that all chips burnt out at once, so double check all fuses for dash, the DIS works because it is a screen like a TV, you could pull the cluster to check to connection of the blue and green plugs, I doubt that is the problem, but worth a try.

Also note that the LED chips that light your Tach, Speedo, Temp, and Fuel needles all work, so it is just the gauge circuit that is not functioning.

See attached fuse info.

So I double checked everything and it all seems to look good? I'm leaning towards it being something to do with the circut board like Johnny mentioned. I have no idea how to even work with that so can anyone recommend me someone/place that could possibly fix it?
