MAF Sensor Replacement

MAF Sensor Replacement
All,
I am working through a P0171 code and am going to start by replacing the MAF sensor. The new MAF and the car arrive today so it will be done shortly.
However, I am unsure which side is bank 1
Can some direct me and let me know if it is driver or passenger side?
Also, is the MAF easily accessable on these cars? I'm sure I can locate it but advice is welcomed.
Thank you and I will report back after it is done.

bank one (seen from the front of the car) is on your left. The MAF is very easy to access. However, best you source a copy of the IETIS service manual (available on disk) for this and other DIY work. I believe REDNOSEGT (on this forum)is offering same.

I just got the same p0171 and have purchased the MAF sensor. Ill be replacing it on bank 1 per the code reader. Any diagram or additional info you can provide that will assist me with install? Car runs fine with no hunting idle or stumbling. Thanks
