Trying to change language, asks for CD
Hello.
Just got a 2004 Bentley Continental GT US-spec, and when I try to change language it asks me for a CD, it only lets me switch between german and french, and I'd like to change to English. Since it's a US-spec I find it odd not to have the english language already on the system.
Anyone know how I can change it?
Thanks

Iv checked all the discs that came with my 06 GT and I dont have any such "language" disc with my pack. I can only suggest checking that your Sat NAV disc is inserted in the reader in the glove box?
other than that its a trip to the dealer.

Here is what I found, use at your own risk.
http://diag-auto.biz/eshop/en/docume...at-screen.html
Inorder to change language on a Bentley Continental GT,
you will have to:
-change text language on the Dashboard / instrument pack (this can be done with a dealer level diagnostic tool like Autologic),.
-get a CD/DVD to exchange text and voice in the infotainement system (radio screen / sat.. nav / Tel, TV,...)
There are several existing CDs/DVDs to change language. The CD to use depends on the version of the sat nav level software ECU. The procedure to identify the correct CD to use is the following:
Insert a valid key,
Switch ignition ON,
If the infotainment screen does not turn on, press the power button / stop (ON / OFF),
Press the Set Up button of the infotainment screen,
Press the 4 button,
Press the 5 button,
Simultaneously press buttons 5 and 8 for 10 seconds,
The display will show the version of the software. Press the Rotary button 5 times,
The display will show the version of the navigation control module.
Take note of the different information or a photo and we contact to identify what CD/DVD you must use.

"Update:
If your dealer's parts desk says they don't know what you are talking about when you try and order the ZAB software and language-change CD (as I found when they wanted to sell me the Navigation Data update CD for a lot of money), the good news in Europe is that you can buy them online for €2.54 + tax and P&P from this supplier in the Netherlands (and probably many others).
The bad news is that there are several versions and at this time I don't know what each of them contains.
3D0 919 278 (the original)
3D0 919 278A (dropped in May 2006, revert to 3D0 919 278 instead)
3D0 919 278B
3D0 919 278C (dropped in Feb 2008, use 3D0 919 278D instead)
3D0 919 278D
The default language choices pre-programmed into a replacement ZAB were always either German/British English or else French/American English.
The update CD allows you to replace one loaded choice with one from this list: German/British English/French/Italian/Spanish/US English/Dutch/Portuguese.
I have ordered one of each to help me understand what software versions are on them, if possible, in case I can get my replacement digital TV controller working by means of a version update.

I am revisiting this post following the fact that I recently upgraded the TV module in my 2005 CGT from the 3D0 919 146 to the 3D0 919 148 only to find out that all I get is white noise on the screen and no signal is picked when performing the channel scan. My guess is that the head unit software isn't prepared to accept inputs from this new module. I learnt here that there are CD updates. Does anyone know where I can get hold of one? Here is the print of my channel 07:
