Bentley GTC wheel bearing question

Hello all,
I'm new to the forum. It looks like a great resource you have here and I'm looking forward to exploring it in depth later on!

For now I'm hoping that one of you may be able to help me.
I have a 2007 Bentley GTC in need of a replacement front wheel bearing.
Before i take the plunge and purchase a new bearing from Bentley direct, i was wondering if a replacement part can be sourced from elsewhere in the VAG range (as I'm aware that many of the underpinnings are shared with differing vehicles).

I have been informed that a VW Phaeton wheel bearing is indeed different and will not work.

Does anyone here know if a replacement can be sourced without having to pay Bentleys parts prices?

Thanks all

Hello,
On my 2010GTC, the 4 bearings are all alike, something that was not the case up to year????.
See the post '2007 GT Rear Bearing ' for exact partnumbers.

I contacted SKF, but once they knew it was a Bentley, they no longer co-operated and have let me kniw that this part could not directly be ordered from SKF (agreement with Bentley).

I bought the Audi A8 part but it didn't fit (different measurements)...... so I ended up buying the Bentley-part at Flying Spares ......

grtz,
christian

Ugh, that's a bit, well, not playing nice by Bentley.

Do a thorough search of the forum, I remember someone stating that they were unique to the GT and not Audi/VW parts.

Curious, is it the left-front bearing? I just replaced mine (Bentley parts) and someone else just did too. In my search for this, I found several, and always left front, which I found interesting.

Sorry for the "necro-post", I ended up 45 pages deep on the forum and didn't realize that this was posted 'way back in '16 and replied to it. I'm sure the poster is long gone with the problem solved.
