Android Auto Now Available For Bentley
Of course not from Bentley, that'd be waaay too 2012 of them. If you have an Android phone they now offer the APP for fee.
"Whether your phone is connected to a compatible car display, or placed in a car mount on the dashboard, Android Auto brings your favorite apps and services into one place, making them accessible in safer and seamless ways. You can bring your music with you with apps like Spotify, Pandora or Google Play Music, and make calls or send messages with hands-free voice commands. And of course, get turn-by-turn directions to your next destination with Google Maps...."
Might be tricky with a Bentley as you need a USB input, perhaps touchscreen. Anyone with a newer car and USB let us know how it goes.

PS: Looks like Bentley is left out in the cold.

Thanks for this info Steven.
Iv been using a clone called AutoMate in my Bentley for a while now works great and links up with my deezer and other apps, But I saw your post installed the app and ran out to the garage to test it out only to find that its V2.0 of Android Auto that is required and the update will be "rolling out" over the coming days...... I will report back when i see the update come through

So iv been using the new Android Auto app for around 2 weeks now, and since the winter months have set in iv found myself choosing the Bentley as my daily driver as we all know how good they are in the snow!
I have the large Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Duos and using neodymium magnets to keep my phone attached to the dashboard.
I have configured the app to open as soon as Bluetooth connects to the Mediabridge so the app opens once I touch the Bentley door handle, There is also an option to keep the app closed until you take your phone out of your pocket which is handy.
The app is clean, clear and easy to use whilst driving and works seamlessly with my Deezer account for audio streaming (Other options are available Spotify etc..)
The navigation function belonging to Google gets very involved if you allow it. Im now seeing notifications on my lock screen in the morning showing me the traveling time to my office related to current traffic conditions and when I jump in the car in the morning it will automatically begin navigation to work and give me a brief overview of the traffic and the route I should take. This also works in the afternoon for going home or any other regular destinations I visit, Whilst I dont need navigating a route I take almost every day the brief overview is very useful and the navigation can be then canceled with 1 press which prevents it from becoming annoying.
Receiving SMS/Skype or other app messages will get lined up in your list and you can press them to have them read back to you and 1 press can send back a reply "im driving right now..."
If your phone is not plugged into a charger the screen will go out after a predetermined time to save power although the app continues to run in the background and 1 press of the main button will turn on the screen and Android Auto comes straight to the foreground without the need to unlock your phone or enter your passcode again.
Voice recognition works well I tested this the other day to make a call. "OK Google, Call Jordan" Android Auto replied, "You have 3 contacts named Jordan", Listed them and asked again which one to call which worked flawlessly this surprised me considering the last time I tried using a voice function was a few years ago in my 2012 Range Rover which required me to record all the names in my contacts first and still consistently called the wrong person!
Only bad thing I can find at the moment is as the Bentley keeps the Mediabridge powered up for a few minutes after leaving and locking the car, if I walk near the car with my phone out of my pocket then the app will open itself up again and I need to manually close the app again before I can do anything with my phone.
It is an excellent app, I will continue to use and best of all ITS FREE!
