No signal/communication ECM.

Hi, you all look like very smart people when it comes to Bentley continental ecu's. Hope you can help.
I have an 06 GT W12 that was running awesome until I got the stupid idea to remap the car to stage 1. Hooked the car up to a stabilised power supply and using Kess V2 read the ecu map from the master and sent off to a reputable map service that I have used without fault many times before. The map came back and I again set up the power supply and hooked up the Kess ready to write. Followed the Kess instruction and selected master for writing.....key on , key off...etc and then write. It began to communicate but before the write could move from 0% it lost communication and the cooling fans up front started to run. Now all I get on VCDS is 004 - No Signal/Communication. Dash lights up but the Engine wont crank. It seems I have fried my ECU which is very unnerving as I followed the Kess instruction to the letter. I have no idea why it fried! Anyhow.......I have a used ECU but don't know the pin number. I have a scan tool that was able to read the pin from my original ecu. My question is......can I simply install the used ecu, turn on the ignition, and read the pin using my scan tool, or will this muck things up even more? Once I have the pin to the used unit I can re-code it to the original pin using vcds ....... and it should go. No more attempts to remap it! All immo functions work fine.
I am picking the original ecu is not recoverable? It says the hardware number is lost or something similar. I tried using the recovery function but still no communication.
Is it only the master that has coding for the immobilizer...or does the slave also need coding?
Any info and help would be appreciated short of telling me what an idiot i was!

Stephen.

No ideas from anyone?
FYI I installed the used ECU's into my car and powered it up without attempting to crank the engine. I was able to read the pin code from the used ECU's and plug in VCDS ready to adapt the used ECU's to my car. Easy i thought....
Following the VCDS instruction for swapping a used ECU into an 06 Bentley Continental GT, KESSY with IMMO 3, I had the pin numbers for both the old and new(used) ECU's at the ready.......then off I go attempting to swap. When I get to the adaptation bit with VCDS it differs from the online instruction in that it only gives me an option for the SKC 7 digit code and no where does it give the option for just the 5 digit code as it shows on the VCDS info page. Can anyone shed any light on this please? I am kinda stuck without the SKC and the date, workshop code, and importer code as there is no other option than the 7 digit SKC. I am told the 7 pin code and other details simply decode into the 5 digit code I already have?
If anyone has any suggestions please let me know. Even perhaps turning off the immo in the ECU if anyone has knowledge around how to do this?

Cheers,
Stephen.

did you get this fixed? I had similar issue but it wasn't due to ecm problem. it was a wiring problem.

Check pin J623 T81/ 23 on master ecm. Should be connected to J271 relay (Terminal 3 ( 85 )(signal wire from ecm)) This is the signal from ecm to energize relay. If the ecm doesn't see this signal, only Bank 2 (left side) of the engine will run.
