Do you replace whole handle or button can be replaced?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it's a complete handle from what I've been told.
Seems daft if that's the case for the sake of a microswitch.
My passenger one isn't working at the moment but I will get it fixed later this year.

I would not bother about passenger, but drivers is really useful. I heard that you can order any colour and replace plastic to match car colour.

 

I had this issue before but it resolved itself and that was like a year ago. However, problem came back last nite and still doesnt work even after a full recharge of battery.

Does anyone if the switch in door handle is a sealed unit? Would it be possible to replace the micro switch?

The keyless and kessy system is a bit of a pain in the ***. I have my car for 4 years and it never worked (kessy errors in VCdS). I was going to pull the kessy unit to do some repair but the keyless suddenly worked once two weeks ago. I was so shocked and amazed when the door unlocked when I pulled the handle LOL.

sadly, it stopped working again soon after I restarted the car. Very strange.

 

Mine keyless working fine, never missed a beat so far. To replace door handle do i need remove door panel? i got handle but cable on it quite long. I don't think i can reach it without removing door panel.
