Ok cool ... were on the same boat.
See this is it i don't have any tweeter in the rear just the 2 speakers at the side of each seat. Unless they hidden away somewhere, have a look at the pic of the rear I posted above.
Yes the door speakers are as you say as I had the door card off some months ago due to water leaking into the car.
Sure would love to see your car ...
I'll post some pics of mine on PM to you ...

Hello All,
Sorry for not being available, very busy at work, I have seen this before as to the "10 Channel AMP" when some are listed for sale on ebay, and I always wondered why is it listed as a 10 channel, when all the 2004-07 GT's I have seen all had 12 channel amps with 12 speakers, well now I see in your (Rico) picture of the rear side panel that it has the "BOSE" logo....
As seen in my pictures, I have the factory rear tweeters and mid's in the side panels, and no "Bose" logo anywhere, me confused now, what did the GT come with stock, Bose, or no name unit ?

Hi Johnny
Thanks for the reply, Its not a Boss system, the last person who had the vehicle stuck these on for show, they going to be removed once I replace the speakers.
As for the 10 speaker system unless these tweeters are hidden then no this car doesn't have tweeters in the rear.
Any ideas why the wiring is colour coded different. Ive still to open the rest of the speaker panels to see if any other colours are different to the drawings ...

Just to make sure re the wiring, I took the left side front tweeter panel off to see if the colours of the wires match the drawings. This is what I found ...

Well according to Johnny’s pictures, the colors are correct.
From my days of installing, yes that’s red, not orange and blue, not light green.

Hi TeamJones
Ok I'll have a good look again tomorrow at the twitters and match the colours, maybe Im not looking at the wiring correctly or Im going colour blind ...
TeamJones, you mentioned you had the same spec car as mine, dose your car have 12 or 10 speakers ...
Ive posted some pics on my album of my car ...

One other thing Johnny / TeamJones
On the drawing, Right and Left speakers Mid, Bass & Bass the wiring changes colours, there's a black line going across the wiring with a number X00561 and X00562. What dose it mean and why dose the colour of the wiring change.

Your right side is correct as it is blue&black and white&black, so is your left side correct, see red boxes in my pictures, as to why 561 & 562 change color, I believe Team J already stated why, but I will explain, see the green boxes in my picture, the change is at the 3 plugs for each door, each group of 3 plugs is 561 & 562.

Hi Johnny
Quick question, the 2 top panels (marked 8 & 9) on the dash of a GT. am right in saying these are fixed down with plastic clips (18) and bolted (27) from underneath
attached pic ...

I forget at the moment if you are LHD or RHD, so let's just say for your drivers side (speedo cluster) you would remove the speedo wood trim # 12 in the picture and possibly the cluster itself (Very easy) to access the #18 clips/pins, squeeze the bottom V section together to allow it to go though the mounting hole, now as far as your passenger side, remove wood trim panel with A/C vent, use a plastic trim tool, but you can also grip it by inserting your fingers into the A/C vent and giving it a good yank, the passenger side top dash piece is also held down by 2 bolts that are attached to 2 heavy duty cloth straps that are attached to top cover to keep it from becoming airborne when the airbag is deployed, I will see if I have a picture of it after work today.
