I have this in storage from years back when I had a setup in my DTS Cadillac, I know it is just a bass engine amp, but the wired remote is much smaller than the EQ you have pictured, maybe you can find a smaller model .

Had a look I need 28mm depth to clear the front panel. I'll have to make a panel (surround) to finish it off.
A pic of the cigarette lighter replacement to USB ...

Reading some of these stories on this forum is great the way you guys help each other, fantastic ...
Last year one of the Front (see my profile pic) LED's started blinking so I contact ONYX UK, they messed me around for months, in the end they quoted me £600 + vat + fitting. As you can imagine I said yah right ... Knowing LED's cost 10 to a penny, So I took one off & stripped it down thinking I'll buy some LED's and replace them. inside I found the serial number & went hunting on the web, I found some companies in Taiwan & emailed them all. Taiwan being 8 hours in front. In the morning an email waiting I found the company that manufactures the light in question. Wow i thought this is great, They mentioned they have the light but the serial number has changed, so I emailed them a pick and next morning they confirmed they have the lights. I asked how much & would they supply me one pair. they said yes they would & wait for it £12 + postage I thought what !!!
They sent me 2 pairs for $18 + postage which came to $38 all in, got them in 2 days & fitted them in 15 min each side.
I emailed ONYX UK told them & I'm still waiting for an answer ...
There are not many people out there who would help anyone but you guys are fantastic, thanks Johnny, really appreciate your help.
My install will take time as Im not well, got new treatment starting next week, but all is well, I'll get it done ...

Hello Rico,
Do you not have PM's allowed in your settings, as I can not private message you, and what you sent me was not a PM but a visitor message posted on my profile page.
As far as your question on the left and right mirror glass, the right side glass that I do have would not work for you as you are RHD, and the US right side (passengers) mirror is a somewhat of a convex glass that has a message written on it, "Objects are closer then they appear", so I believe you must source mirror glass from a RHD vehicle, as far as the rearview mirror, I do not have an extra at the moment, EBay would be my first look.

Hello Rico,
I hope you realize I was only showing the RUX-4280 (Bass Control) for size comparison, it is not a full range EQ as you have pictured, my suggestion was to find a smaller full EQ to fit elsewhere.
See attached info for the RUX 4280

Hello Johnny
Thanks for the info, sure thing I'll try & locate a small EQ to suit ... I'll have a good read of the PDF if the RUX-4280 would be a better option ...

Johnny / TeamJones ... HELP !!!

Ok I removed the 2 plugs from the top of the Amp, the left one is for the out going audio to all the speakers, (pics below) here's the problem not all numbers match the colours from the tech drawing to the plug, I've crossed referenced both drawings 10 speaker & the 12 speaker. the front & rear of the plugs have numbers as you can see but there are wires in the middle of the plug so what are the numbers for them.

The 10 speaker drawing pin numbers are different to the 12 speaker drawing but the colours to each speaker match.
I did the battery test & only found the 2 rear midrange speakers, but couldn't find any other speakers even with the colour match, no sound at the speakers. what am I doing wrong ?

Heres one example on the plug pin 7 are colours White / Purple, on the 10 speaker drawing it shows pin 15 are White / Purple.
Another thing I found that some solid colours go into one (into a heat shrink) further up the loom.
Some wires are solid colours in the middle of the plug. Ive counted the pins & there are 20, 10 for each side = 10 speakers.

Please could you send me the numbers from the 10 speaker drawing from left to right, starting at 1, as the numbers aren't very clear on the drawing.

Johnny looking at your build pics you installed a new Naim system so your the man in the know ... ?

Ok I understand the numbering 123654 & so on, some pins arnt used as its a 10 speaker set up. Ive even sorted some of the colours but now I'm stuck again. Im going to try & go sleep its 2.08am & if I don't get off this laptop my brain tumour's going to jump out my head & kick me in the nuts, then I'll have 4 problems, head, nuts & wiring ...
