Engine Whine / Ground Loop on Continental GT 2006

Dear All

I've noticed for some time that there's a whine on my CD and radio. It's not that loud when you are listening to music, but if you pause and turn it up it's very noticeable.

Today I swapped out my 6 CD auto changer for a Dension Gateway Lite BT and the problem remained. Here is a link to a video - https://www.dropbox.com/s/ddy38txrse...Whine.mov?dl=0. You can hear it getting higher pitched as the RPM increase.

Can anyone give me a hint as to what it might be or how I could fix it please?

Many thanks in advance

John

That’s alternator whine.

Its almost certainly related to a grounding issue.

start here

and google “alternator whine” if you need more help.

some guys on here might know common problems on the Bentley.

Hi, Have you had any work done to the system or to any electrical system on the car as it sounds like the ground wire has become loose or has broken off, If not it seems like the ground loop isolator or the inline suppressor has failed, if your not a system man you need to take it to a car stereo place or car electronics place to have them install a inline suppressor ...

Yah British is correct ... How you getting on with your install ...
