I think you're trying to say that there is a fault but the o2 sensor appears to work according to your mechanic?

Upstream electronic malfunctions can cause sensors to appear bad. Unfortunately the symptom of the problem doesn't always trace back to a simple solution. For this reason live data streaming of different components is necessary to see if there is a deviation from normal. Essentially one has to be a mechanical pathologist.

Another common problem is the female plug ends to different components deteriorate and are broken. The problem here is the visual inspection without unplugging them they appear to be okay. I've had to replace MAF sensor plug ends and also the coil to spark plug plug ends. Should one of these plugs be bad it can cause similar problems that are described.
Female plug ends= conecteur femelle

I do not have a photo.

Please post a photo of your repair.

Hopefully you soldered each wire tail or removed each pin and installed on a new connector.

Hello from France.
I have destroyed the old electrical outlet, in order to take the old pin.
And install the old pin in new plastic electrical outlet.

Hopefully you got the pin order correct. Did the problem occur immediately after you fixed the connector? Inspect the other MAF connector as well.

If you are talking about the MAF connectors, and if you used 1j0973775As, why would you be taking the pins out of the connectors? This P/N is a 5 pin VAG MAF replacement connector with pins and pigtails in place. There would be no need to remove them, just use the pigtails on the new connectors and match to the correct wires on the old connector.

If you replaced both, or if you just replaced Bank 1. The bank 1 MAF only uses a 4 wire config. Bank 2 is a 5 wire. 1j0973775A is a five wire, so you can use it on Bank 1, just clip the 5th lead. The mistake that can be made is clipping the wrong end wire on 1j0973775A.

Here is a pic of the old connectors. Bank 2 on the top; bank 1 on the bottom. The other advantage to using 1j0973775A is it is a better female connector design. The old ones used on early Bentleys had FM pins that would fatigue over time and cause dropouts....the hardest thing to diagnose.

This is the newer VAG MAF connector:

Hello ... Its an Evaporative Emission Canister, When excess vapour evaporates in the the gas tank (petrol tank) its transferred into this unit, stored until its safe to transfer back into the engine to be burned with the normal fuel mixture. Basically its a safety system so any occupents including the driver don't pass out with fuel fumes putting it simply, its location is at the rear of the car near or above the muffler & its controlled by the engine management system, if you need more tech details I'll post or Im sure My friend Mr BWings will be more than happy to explain further ...
Fuel, SP98 is the same as 98Ron in the UK & 93PON in the US if Im right ...

YIKES!

Look at flexible lines going to the calipers. These are recommended to be changed periodically by the factory service schedule. If they are bloating, or one has cracked? Check please!
