Hello Mr. TJ62!
Welcome to the Roman 615 Club!
Both left and right sides on mine did that too. I've tried pretty much everything including an awful lot of pressure with a tool. They just will not go unless you start trimming leather away from the opening.
Instead of that, I pressed in (fitted) the connector end, got the other end in as far as I could, then I applied a dot (small dot half the size of a pencil eraser) of Home Depot type silicone adhesive. I think I used the DAP brand. It can be clear, white (doesn't matter). Put the dot on the end not snapping in, gently close the door and let the car sit for a period of time like overnight.
It will keep it in place and ensure you're not going to have it slip one day and, obviously, if you close the door on it, it will be history. If/when you ever want to remove it just break the joint with and tooled end - screwdriver, putty knife, plastic or metal. It'll cut right loose and you can then remove the light.

Hello ... Mr BWings & Mr T ... yah I had the same problem I trimmed the leather and applied silicon and gave it some brutal force with my size 35 hands LOL ... they snapped in ok. Looking at the lights and the stock lights they not exactly the same, where the lug is to snap it into place is not as deep as the stock lamp ...

I am really happy that several of you guys have found these to be as novel as I have. I am still not expecting to see that when I open the door in the evenings, as most of my driving is during the daytime hours. However, I am sorry to hear about the install issues. Mine just popped right in and I figured they would all do the same. I bought a set of four for my girlfriend’s GL550 from the same place and had no issues there either. I’m just jealous that she has four. Maybe I just need a Flying Spur?
Mr T has a good idea with the hot gun maybe a good old superglue would do the trick ... joking don't use that rubbish ... Ive found that where the lug is and the finish of the lamp there isn't enough gap as the stock lamp, a small file would do it, file the lug down a millimetre or so ... Just an idea guys ...

Hot melt is a great idea...same principle.
Mr. Roman sir...you are "The Man"!
You will become so popular because of these puddle lights that your name is destined to become a verb....as in "I'm going to Roman my Bentley." Everyone will know what it means!
BTW, my wife's good girlfriend just bought a new Tesla M3 and I found puddle lights for hers, same manufacturer. I'll install them for her....when they get here....someday...LOL
And, agree with Mr. Rico...just luck of the draw, but de nada, there is always a fix.
Best,
Steve

I'm waiting to get my car totally detailed.

It is done already. The picture makes it look a little crooked, but it isn’t. I’m just bad at taking pictures.

Beautiful Roman! Once again....You're the Man!
That would be my problem. Getting all those letters straight. I'm not what I used to be...LOL....They could look straight to me, to everyone else.......not so much.
