Nice! Would you mind sharing the settings?

At first, I liked the silent operation as I thought it's nice and inconspicuous.

However, as time passes, I miss having a reassuring chrip confirming the car is locked and the contents are safe inside, being able to simply walk away without having to turn around and look for the telltale flash of the lights or red flash top of the door cards.

Anyone have instructions on where to get ODIS or VCDS/VAG and how to program the alarm per the video?

Hi
I used VCDS to turn the "chirp on" it was pretty simple for me to be able to do it!
I also changed the the 3 flash indicator to 4, just because I could!
Cheers Pete.

Hi Iain,
Yes, no problem.
I've taken a few step by step screen shots to help, so;
1. Open VCDS software & click Select on "Select Control Module"

2. Click on Module 46 - Central Conv.

3. Click on the drop down menu & select "Locking confirmation via remote control button preference"

4. In "New Value" box type in 3 & click save

& thats it!
If you also want the same settings for comfort access just go through the same procedure above but under "Locking confirmation via Kessey (keyless) preferences"
You can see from the drop down menu that there's a few other preferences you can play with whilst here!
Hope the above helps!
Cheers Pete.

I wound up purchasing the Ross-Tech VCDS Hex-V2 ($199.00)

Just made my update for a sound verification (Chirp - it is pretty loud by the way) for my keyless, keyed and remote - open/close functions

Easier than I expected - but only thanks to Pete.

Pete - THANK YOU

Thanks for this Pete! Was about to enquire about getting a Canbus Alarm fitted (like the Clifford Alarm 330 which I've previously fitted on VW group cars) just to get the locking and unlock chirp. This is my first car with keyless entry which I think is great but always feel doubtful as to whether or not I've locked it (Always had to check to see the red flashing alarm light inside on the door). Managed to program the GT Speed to chirp and blink confirmation when locking/unlocking via keyless and just to blink using the remote key fob (the silent way via remote to avoid making an awkward noise very late at night). Used an older version of VCDS (v12.12) which I had for older cars (forgot I had it and it works on Bentleys!) - will upgrade to the latest one soon.
