Dension CBT1GEN Bluetooth for music streaming
Looking to see if anyone has had a Dension CBT1GEN fitted to their car, as I stream all my music through Spotify & to have this in the car would be the way to go.
I'm being told that the device connects directly to the rear of the infotainment system where the CD multi-changer currently connects. The supplier is offering a supply & fit cost so for me that's the way to go as I don't fancy removing & refitting the infotainment system!
I know that the Ben Hur unit exists but (for me anyway) I don't want to remove the OEM buttons & also the cost is a little off-putting.
Any comments would be more than welcome.

I found this neat little part to replace the Ipod connector in the glove box with a blue tooth receiver. Works like a charm for $90 dollars. Titles don't always come up in Spotify but the functionality with the radio controls work to changing songs.

Hi Mark,
Many thanks for your quick comeback.
I've now just ordered one of these from Amazon. Looks an even better way to get what I need, no need to pull the car apart & more cost effective too!
Once installed I'll provide some feedback.
Cheers Pete.

Lot of folks here use the Grom BT3. I've got this and it works a charm. Disconnected CD player in glove box and connected grom. There is a 3 way cable that allows both to co-exist, but haven't tried this personally.
Some integration with the head unit in that the fw/back buttons will change go to previous / next songs on most iphone apps and also functions as the answer and hangup buttons for phone calls.

So as promised feedback on the Bovee WMA3000A - What a brilliant bit of kit, does exactly what it says it will do. Worked first time out of the box, no problem with connecting. Little more expensive here in the UK, but still less than £100, which is great!

Been using this with my my iPhone, all good.
However my wife's Samsung S10+ also connects perfectly & can control the song playing from the phone, i.e skip a track etc, not having to use the Bentley > < buttons as I thought she'd have too after read various other threads on the subject.
No song playing info, but not that bothered about that as I know whats playing from listening to it!

Do you have a gen-1 Continental GT? I'm using a Dension unit (Gateway bluetooth model) that I fitted myself. You're right that everything is plug and play - except for the ground wire that you need to splice into the existing harness that goes into the back of the infotainment. I removed the giant wood panel on the passenger side dash as I couldn't really run the wires into my glovebox successfully without doing so.

As I say I just plugged this little gadget into the iPod socket in the glove box & I'm very happy with it!

Heres a simple diagram on how an after market streaming device is installed in to the infotainment system, this particular device is made by Grom Audio ... One can stream the mobile phone but you still don't have touch screen ... one must still handle the phone while driving to change functions ...
