Reversing camera not working...I think
Hi guys. My 2012 Continental has a reversing camera installed in the rear but it won't turn on when I go into reverse. I get a long beep and the PDC button illuminates. There are also no reversing sensors or anything coming up on the dash about being close to objects either.
Is it something I need to enable or perhaps is it broken?
Cheers

Hi Rico, thanks I have looked everywhere, there are no options to turn it off or on anywhere.

Cheers mate. I did look at the fuse box (Number 32 I think on the left side in the boot), looked ok. I didn't want to pull it out, don't really know what Im doing with electrical stuff like that.

Thank you so much for taking the time to help
Yes, I do have those buttons. The PDC is flashing whenever I go into reverse but nothing comes up on the screen. It makes a long beep and nothing else. I went through all of the fuses and they are ok, I'm thinking it might be time to take into the dealer for a checkup?

Thanks mate, leave it with me. I've discovered another issue (the doors aren't soft closing) so I think there might be a couple of gremlins in the electrics. I'll shoot it up to Bentley for diagnostics next time Im in the city.
Cheers for everything

Quick update for anyone following.
Had the Conti scanned and everything was perfect other than rear left parking sensor and the door soft-close malfunction (a big sigh of relief). The sensor looks to be ok, but we've sprayed it with WD40 and cleaned it, will give it a week to see if it fixes itself, otherwise it $400.
The door soft-close is interesting. I had forgotten about 8 years ago we had the door repaired after some clown decided to back into it. It was only the chrome trim damaged, but it turns out the door was removed by Bentley to set the alignment. It turns out it was either not aligned correctly, or more likely has sagged over time a few millimetres. It's really hard to see, you need to be on the right angle, but the door has dropped by about 2mm. There is a sensor inside the catch that stops the door from closing if its out by a hair, which is why it doesn't work.
We got the passager side working, but the driver's side door needs to be reset. I'm hoping this isn't a major, apparently, any competent panel beater can do it. Will find out in the new year.
