Great!

On a side note, what’s the obsession with a battery tender?

Is that if you only drive it once a month or so?

There is a parasitic draw from the electronics. The battery will go flat over time. Resetting all the electrical functions like windows etc, stored codes that should be cleared and possibly a computer relearn. Better to keep charged for battery life as well. Most cars have the charging port already. Lots of chargers on eBay specific to Bentley. Usually are missing when you buy the car used.

i drive my car at least once a week for an hour. Sometimes it might be left undriven for a couple of weeks. Is that sufficient to keep the battery charged? My car is parked outside so a bit tricky to keep it on a tender.

google “ blue tooth battery monitor “ ........fit one and see .
They say 12.7 v and above is best .Fully charged theses cars run 13.2v .

You will get spurious dash lights as the voltage reduces because ECUs throw hissy fits when starved of volts .

Did my 2009 come with a battery tender when new?

Might be another thing I need to ask the PO about.

I'm addition to the extra key and manuals is there anything else I should be asking for?

Thanks.

I also changed both batteries as they were 6 years old and I got some warning light here and then when it was not on the tender after a day.
The big battery I choose a bigger one, Think its 105 or 120 Ah. The standard and original Bentley tender/charger will not load them enough as it is only for max 100Ah (depens on model year, mine was 2009 and got error message after one hour).
So i just took a regular CTEK MXS 5.0 and use the crocodile clamps and put it to the battery directly (takes 20 seconds...).
The starter battery I used a quick connect from a second CTEK and the outlet is beside the 12V on the trunk, so I just plug in another CTEK and the car is now without a problem for months

Advanced auto parts carries batteries for Bentley Continental. About $150 each. Great deal compared to $400 each at the dealer
