I sent them a picture of my dash (2007 GTC) and the year and model. Their ‘engineer’ confirmed it would fit.

I looked at dozens of different adverts and couldn’t see any difference in the kit.

We're all curious. I hope it works great.

What's the setup? The Ben Hur takes a double-din radio of your choice, this has a lot of "aux" outs and ins. Is it a radio? Can you play music through it? Or is it just an Android operating system that can play stored files? Or do you need a whole aux system somewhere to feed the unit?

That diagram presents more questions than answers for me.

Did they show you any videos or evidence of how it operated powered up?

it has a built in radio, as well as a media player based on files on a TF card or the internal memory. It also has Bluetooth for calls and music streaming.

the piece I’m adding is a wireless CarPlay module so I can stream maps and music etc directly from my iPhone.

I too am not sure how it connect to the Bentley’s amplifier, but they assured me it would work. I assume it’s through the normal connector to the cars loom with the aux cables being extra and not needed for a default install.

they did share videos of it on a test bench. I’ll share some more of the install and it actually functioning (hopefully) in the car.

finished 😉

I’ll be making a demo video this weekend so I’ll share the link once it’s uploaded. If there are any bits/features in particular you are interested in let me know and I’ll try to incorporate it.

what’s the overall opinion on it? Any features missing? Sound quality? Installation issues?

what about the builtin car functions it has to emulate?

I think alot of people are anxious for feedback. I have to commend you for taking the gamble.

Neil,

Interested to know if all functions displayed on the original screen are replaced: example, user profile, maintenance (wipers), suspension settings. Essentially making sure that nothing is lost of the original buttons.

I think you will be the first with a real world installation of this...be really interested to see the results and general functioning.

Let us know if there are any 'ghosts in the machine' that dont show up in the video overview.
