Johnny Hotspur,
You were right once again. Finally had someone get the car up in the air and someone bent the linkage rods to 5.25" in the front. We bent them back to 5.625" and it raised the car up to just a slight racked level and is much more drivable! On to working through the final list of issues. I purchased a 3rd brake light from SatNam at www.scuderiacarparts.com. He hooked me up and was friendly. Will follow the process listed on these other threads listed here to R & R it.
A couple notes then a question if that's ok.
1. TMPS light issue. I replaced all the TMPS sensors in the tires and couldn't get the TMPS sensor fault to go off on the dash. About 3 weeks later I drove the car about 300 miles and it finally calibrated and went off for a period of a couple months. Last week I got a flat tire alert on the dash while there was no flat tire and then the TPMS fault reappeared. It now wont go off but I have not done a long drive.
2. The airbag dash alert has been on in the car since purchase when it does not appear the car has ever been hit. Someone who did a scan said there was a right rear seat ignitor code.
My question is this. Are there inherent wire issues with the 2004 GT Continental where its possible these alerts could come from loose of poor wire connectors contacts?
Is it possible remapping the main computer could possible eliminate these codes? If so who could do this? Dealer said the car was not subject to any software updates.
Any advice or help is once again appreciated.
