You found yourself a keeper with that tech. Buy his garage lunch and gatorade, he's extremely reasonable. I think I paid almost that much just to get my third brake light replaced.

All flying spurs have the new vac lines that aren't over the transmission, so if you want you can bypass the steering rack lines and run a copper bypass line underneath the engine. 3-4 hours or so of work and maybe $50 or less in parts.

Bentley vac lines

What year and model is your Bentley? I may be having the same issue and was wondering if my lines run a cross the transmission.

I took it in, they found the loose fitting and reset the computer, everything was fine. I asked them how in the hell could the vacuum system have anything to do with the traction control...they shrugged their shoulders and said that Bentleys often had interconnected computer error messages for one problem.

Traction control light never came on again and vacuum lines are fine.

If you need the vacuum lines, get the stainless ones, not the plastic ones. I spent $1,200 but right after someone said there is a guy who bends them for $200, which seems a fair price. $1,200 was a ripoff.

Bad news: 33 hours of labor to pull the engine and replace it. Depending on your model and year, you may get away with less, I don't know much about the Flying Spur differences. I think your plastic lines still go across the transmission though.

Mine's a 2005 GT.

Johnny pointed out that I didn't really get stainless lines, they were just plastic with foil, which is a drag. I don't know if stainless is a Bentley option, there's some guy that sells handmade ones.

The way you know you have a bad vacuum leak is that the car idles really poorly, it will stay running, but 500 rpm then 1,500 rpm, then 500 again. it sounds just terrible.

Post a video of your tachometer at idle.

If I’m not mistaken, I think he went up in price. I’ll confirm in a few days just to make sure.
