The small filter popped out relatively easily - the large one takes much more effort to get the top frame unclipped.

So what's the airflow direction on these? I have new ones, but no indication on the old one as to what direction the filter goes

Honestly couldn't tell. I replaced them as I just got the car, no idea how old they were
