How’s everyone holding up?

Just stopping in to check on everyone. How are you all holding up? I know I’m going crazy being stuck in the house. I’m an essential worker so I go to work and home. The store is the only other place I may go. I’m seeing ppl going about like this stuff is a joke.

I hope you all are handling this well.

I'm in NY, so far its not too bad. It's a bit irritating not being able to go for a long drive. Even just going shopping can be nerve racking as people don't give space. So far working from home for now. I do miss seeing my friends and family as we all do.

Well... personally I'm getting some "to-do list" stuff done... got the fixed headlight bucket installed & fixed left fender back on my GT today. And patted myself on my back again for getting that 2 post lift installed in my workshop last winter (um... I mean: "earlier this winter... 5 months ago of so ago... it snowed here again today). The two post lift sure helped out with that headlight and fender project.

Here in Toronto, Canada and holding up well. People seem generally to be following the rules. Very little city traffic, but normal congestion on the highways. Trucks need to keep moving so we don't end up boiling the cushions down into soup. Netflix saves us from getting on each other's nerves too much. My heart goes out to those stuck in apartment buildings and Care Homes for the Elderly. Be safe.

Hanging together in so cal. I am still working - daily commute is slashed by 75% as no cars on the roads.

Just saying at home. Not too unusual as we are retired and spend a great amount of time at home. Everything is pretty much shut down here in Florida. All the restaurants and bars are closed and all the malls and non essential businesses are closed. All the church services are virtual as it would not be prudent to have an assembly. The liquor stores are considered essential so they are open. I guess that speaks volumes about our society. I have been spending time in the garage cleaning and polishing the cars and outside taking care of the yard. Have talked to all of our children and they are working from home. Hope everyone is taking this virus seriously and stay healthy. I think when this is all over we are going to be in a changed world.

Relatively quiet here in Vancouver. Minimal traffic and the majority are respecting social distancing and wearing masks. If not for satelite TV, Netflix and Amazon Prime programming I may go nuts!!! But I do have the dogs to keep me sane.
Hoping the US border lockdown is lifted in a few more months so I can resume my beer runs. Stock is running low. Then again with the weak Canadian $, savings are down to 25% from 40%.
Keep safe to all.

Greetings TJ1962, AMAZON sent an email out about a week ago informing Prime members to expect longer delivery times. I've had a few orders since then, and instead of the regular 2 to 3 days, it came to around 4 to 5 days. No mention of any subscription rebates.

Glad your check engine light (CEL) extinguished.
I chuckle when I think 2 1/2 decades ago when OBD II was at it's infancy. When the light went on, only dealerships would have the scanner to diagnose and shut off. Early Porsche Boxsters were notorious for activating the CEL (faulty seat belt buckle, untightened gas cap, etc....). Frustrated owners would cover the light with a piece of black electrical tape!!!

Yea that’s all I read too. On the bright side my check engine light went out 🤣🤣. It doesn’t matter now though because the emissions testing places are all shutdowns also so no one can renew their plates even if they wanted too.

I'm from Hanoi, Vietnam, so far we have 249 confirmed cases and fortunately with no death, the city is in the lockdown situation, hopefully we can get through this hard time soon. Stay strong and safe guys!!!

Back in the U.K. we have an inspection pit in one garage .So I had the GT over it brushed up the suspension and re applied wax oil corrosion prevention .
Applied the stuff on the rear subframe as well .
Noticed a front outer drive shaft clip has come off and the grease splattered everywhere. So cleaned it up and the mess inside the rim .
Boot seems fine no split just a lost clip .New clip + a pot of moly grease on its way from eBay .
Checked all the undertray fixtures- OK .
lubed the rear vac valves on the inner pair of the quad exhaust tips .
lubed the front bonnet / hood hinges and rear boot/ trunk hinges .Lubed the catches too .
Apart from that it’s behaving itself just completed a winter 3000 mile Europe trip .
I did “ feed “ the leathers all inc headline, dash etc with Autoglym leather care in December .
