'06 BCGT Brakes

Can anyone definitively tell me what non-Bentley rotors and pads fit the '06 BCGT? Front and rear. The PDF service manual, found elsewhere on this forum is vague on the topic.

I just did this. I didn't do the rears but those are A8 rotors and pads and available everywhere. You need a obd tool to release the parking brake. The front rotors are more limited but can be found aftermarket at rockauto. I just installed them and they work fine.

Hello @silvertonesx24 ,
As to not confuse others, please list the part numbers and or size of the front brake rotors and pads you purchased, as the standard A8 (D3) 4.2 has smaller brakes all around, with 360MM X 34MM in the front, and 310MM in the rear, whereas the A8L W12 and the S8 5.2 V10 have the larger brakes being 385MM X 36MM for the front, and 335MM for the rear, IIRC.

And our generation GT'S have 405MM X 36MM for the front, so I am not sure how you used "A8" rotors, unless I read your comment the wrong way...

Thanks.
Johnny

This is the front aftermarket rotor I used. $83 each. I can't remember specifically which pads I used, but they came with the wear sensors.

I actually did not replace the rear rotors yet, they didn't seem too bad and the front ones were very worn and warped. But from my research sellers were also listing the A8 Quattro in the compatibility description. They are much, much easier to find than the front rotors.

What do you mean the front will buckle? That they will warp more than OEM?

And by insurance being void, do you mean warranty? Or are you saying car insurance will be voided for aftermarket parts?

my garage told me that using cheap disc that they will buckle after a bit because of the heat that’s generated, also this car can do over 190 mph and if you put cheap disc on it you can void your insurance, ask your insurance company, To make sure. Also the tyre are rated for this speed. Just check.

Thanks Johnny. I know about Scuderia. They have everything but are pricey, and shipping is not included.. There is also Flying Spares in the UK, which with shipping may be less $ than anything in the US.
