2014 Flying Spur audio issue
Hey everyone- we just picked up a 2014 Flying Spur and it’s having some audio issues. We knew the tweeter in the dash was busted and assume it was an easy job to fix...bad idea. Well I took it into a shop that would do it but while it was there, they called me back and said there was no sound coming from the front door speaker at all. Not even a buzz. They recommended I take it to Bentley since it may the amp. I’m trying to avoid the $1500 they told me if would cost in labor to replace the tweeter. Has anyone has any similar issues or any recommendations?

2014 Spur as well. Right dash tweeter went out a few months after delivery. Thankfully it was covered under CPO warranty. Fast forward another few months and the left one started making weird noises as well. I have no low-cost suggestions. This car by far has the crappiest stereo system for a $228K vehicle. I've heard better audio in a 2016 Toyota. Couple the crap stereo with other host of ongoing electrical and mechanical problems and this car will not be in the stable much longer.
A shame for a company that's is supposed to pride themselves on hand-built ultra luxury vehicles.

That audio shop really didn’t want to work on your car anyway. A good tech would have at a minimum found the amp and seen if the amp was giving out any output (I always had a test speaker with long leads so try this out). That way they could have narrowed it dow to either the amp or speaker being bad. I take it they just wanted to “see” the car and decided not to touch it because it’s a Bentley (I hear that a lot from repair shops that will say no we don’t work on those but the sign outside would say they work on VW’s). Even going to the kick panels and finding the door loom would have been ok. A quick internet search (or here/ YouTube) could have given them the speaker color codes. Search for a shop that does audio on high end cars. You might have to drive a hour or so but it’s worth the peace of mind.

2014 Spur as well. Horrible sound I replaced speakers and amps still not great but 10 times better. I did get wireless apple car play.. I overall love the car. The audio is subpar from factory. I cant speak about the Naim as mine is the base system...My screen was super slow ptior to apple carplay..

F no. 2015 W12 here and it's one of the worst cars I have owned. Front end clunks (repaired 2X), chrome handle trim loose, parking lamp/brake lamp electrical faults (cant figure out), B-pillar fell off, TERRIBLE audio system & GPS, foggy glass. Doesn't drive as well as an S-class or 7 series. Looks elsewhere for a luxury sedan.
Perhaps A newer S63 might be the best option. I just always had a soft spot for the Spur and have wanted one as a DD

S63 is great. I love the S-class all the way back to the W112.

@BOOMER7 - Just want to offer another perspective...I have a 2007 Spur and love it, no issues I can't live with.. You're interested in a newer model, so not sure how much they've changed between 07 & 12-15, but I would buy mine all over again.
It's unfortunate XLR82XS has had such a miserable experience with his Spur. In my opinion, I don't think it's representative of the model as a whole, fortunately. He's mentioned issues I'm glad I've never had with any car, such as the B-pillar falling off, etc.
So of the contributors to your question you had one absolute thumbs down, 2 love-the-car thumbs up & a couple neutral. Keep in mind - few folks will come to this forum to post 'every things great today!' comments.
I would encourage you to drive one first hand and make a judgement, mine is a daily driver and never fails to produce a big smile on my face.
