Rear Seat Center Console

Rear Seat Center Console
From a previous thread:
I think all the remaing pieces from this sliding cover
Are underneath the rear center console here
So the question is:
Do I engineer some type of sticky grabber thing that can flex underneath the wood trim and pull out the pieces one-by-one, or remove the console? Really hoping the community has some experience here.
Thanks

ret09gt,
Worked like a charm, thanks!
Have you, or anyone else, put one of these things back together? I have all 15 pieces (they are numbered) in order and laying on the sticky rag, but I just don't see how this is the plan to keep them secure. Even if I layer it with new rubber cement, I can't believe it will hold up long term. Any advice would be most appreciated.
Thanks

I finally reassembled my stowage compartmrnt cover.
All it took was some Elmer's rubber cement
Now all I have to do is figure out how to get the center console cover off so I can remove the stowage box. The box has to come out so the cover can be reinstalled in its groove. At least that is what it looks like to me.

Hello @EJag66 ,
I take it that the 2012 has the same setup as far as twin front armrests.
It is a simple as @ret09gt stated, but, the is a big BUT in there, you must first remove the front console trim along with the two armrests to gain access to two mounting points as shown in my attached pictures, or at least to have the clearance to pull the front of the rear console trim up and out, it is not hard at all, and should take 20 minutes to achieve.
Now you have a 2012 so the front console trim is different at the front by the Infotainment unit, so no need to remove infotainment system surround trim.
So,
1) Put parking brake on, put the shifter into neutral, gently push down on the aluminum collar below the shifter ****,after it slides down just a bit, lift the shifter **** straight up and off, do not hit yourself in the face...
Leave the shifter in neutral for clearance reason.
2) Lift both armrests in the most upright position, while at the same time applying pressure to the top of the armrests towards the rear seats, this is to give clearance of the leather covered plastic trim at the very rear of the front console trim, if your 2012 has it, while applying said pressure grip the front console trim as shown and lift to clear the base of the armrests, then gently lift the front console trim straight up and placed to the right side as best you can, or disconnect all plugs from the underside to move front console trim completely out of the way, I just put some heavy towels between the console wood trim and the console leather top and side and let the trim rest there
3) Now you will see the two allen bolts holding the armrests in place pictured below, remove the two bolts to lift the armrests off, if either of your armrests have electronics in them you will unplug them, or just move to the side, be sure to protect the leather, lots of towels I use.
4) Now you should see the two holes in the black plastic trim/cover that covers the HVAC ducts, I will circle the holes in yellow, you may or may not have and screws or push in fasteners there, but I did, I know of others whom have not, most likely left out by the previous person... remove them.
You will now lift the rear console straight up by grabbing in the area of the HVAC vents and where your slider is missing, do NOT lift to far, you will need to unplug the cigar lighter along with the two temperature sensors located at the front area on the sides of each HVAC duct.
Please take you time. .
Johnny
PS. Please disregard my one photo showing the front console trim in place without the armrests or rear console trim, I was learning...

I tried this a couple days ago. Pulled up gently. The rear pops loose, but the front seems rock solid and did not budge. Want to make sure I am not missing something before I try to pull harder. I am trying to get the rear center counsel up. My roll top cover has come apart. Double checking I do not need to do anything other than pull. A little confused since one post says pull gently and another shows bolts, connections, wiring and such.....

Did you remove the front armrests so you could access and remove the screws underneath that secure the forward/top portion of the rear console? I haven't done mine yet as I waited too long and the heat of summer is upon us in Southern Maryland.

After going over the above sections, I think I was confused by the two slightly different projects. I may tackle this over the weekend if I get time. I will post pics and let you know how it goes if I do.

I am assuming you guys removed all the old adhesive from the pieced before reglueing yes? My fabrick came out clean. It looks like the tape adhesive is all on the pieces.
Any suggestions for lubricating the track on the edge?
