Continental GT MOT brake test .

Continental GT MOT brake test .
Put my GT in for its annual MOT today .
I was surprised to see the examiner test the brakes on a rolling road.
I thought this was a no no for this type of 4 wheel drive car.
Having said that the car drove perfectly on the way home.
Anyone any ideas on this ?

It had to be a 4 wheel dyno (rolling road), correct ?

Please don't take this as being rude, I am not, I am just baffled why you would not be yelling over to the inspector to stop immediately, the vehicle is exempt from any 2 wheel drive testing for any reason, as it is full time all wheel drive, and you should have shown the label to the inspector, it is located under the hood/bonnet.
I would be making a trip back to the station and making a record for any damage that might occur now as a result of their improper testing, it may have caused damage to the torsen unit which is located inside the transmission.
Edit: I would also speak with the inspection station manager as to why one of his inspectors would even attempt to place a all wheel drive vehicle on a 2 wheel drive testing unit, as if what I believe to be true, is that when you first pull into the station and hand over your paperwork and they scan or input the VIN for the vehicle, it should tell them which test are required, and their software should NOT allow or require any drive test, unless the facility is equipped with a all wheel drive testing unit.

Took mine and it had a two wheel set of rollers just before the lift , a four poster ,
He did not use it .Parked it in front and did the static stuff like lights , seat belts wipers wash , emissions etc .
He kept going over to his large screen which had my car up on it and tapping keys .
Then he drove it on the lift .
I place a copy of the Jack mode process on the centre console .He came out and said he s done the two button thing ( was aware of air strut bags rupture btw ) and “ workshop fault “ came up as well as the Jack mode symbol .
It does in my car but is of no consequence ,
I gave him the ok and he lifted it did his stuff then with the mini Jack raised each end and did more checks .
By the time he backed it out fir me to drive away on the forecourt the “ Jack mode “ symbol I saw had gone .
It passed .
He did say the disks ( rotors ) where lipped but functional and aside the pads thick so he advised next time the pads need doing perhaps new disks .
Its on 94 K miles and is a 2004 .
Fortunately I have a inspection pit on one garage so twice a year I remove the under shields and wheels and give it a clean + waxoiled , lube the hight sensors and clean up and wax the EPB motors , scrub the chassis and apply more rust proofing even to the brake pipes .
That’s all it’s cost past 12 m £34,50 for 8000 miles .

Thank you for this .
The garage I normally take the car to for the MOT is snowed under with work due the the previous lockdown , trying to clear the backlog , hence my trrip to the other garage on Thursday .
Won't be going back there again !
As mentioned the car is driving the same as it was before the test , but I will be contacting the garage and tester next Monday to register my concerns should anything catastrophic happen with the transmission .

Hello @Tony ***** ,
Thank you for the update.
May I ask you about a comment you made, you said he tried the front, then the rear, when you say "he tried", did you mean he tried each axle and failed to spin the wheels, or did he actually perform the test spinning the front and rear wheels independent of each other ?
Johnny

Johnny , He performed the test by spinning the front and rear wheels independent of each other , first the nearside , then the offside for both axles .
