Safe to use a 3500lb bridge jack on their Continental GT?
I just bought a 3500lb bridge jack for one of my 4 post car lifts, with the hope of never having to deal with jacks and jack stands again. Or the Jaguar XJ, where you have to jack up both sides at once as to not twist the aluminum frame. And especially on the Continental GT, where the jack points and jack stands are conveniently located in the same place.
But the weight of the car concerns me- 5500lbs with a 55:45 weight distribution gives me a front lift of 3020lbs. Still under the capacity of my 3500lb jack, but it's close enough to make me question.

Well, most of those are over engineered. If the rating is 3500 it should easily hold 3500 safely for sure. I would look at all the reviews and just make sure there are no design issues or unexpected failures and you should be good to go.
