TV-tuner pinout for AV-1 and av-2
I`m really surprised that my question was ignored in topic https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...0919146-2.html , like i'm plague infected. But i think info may be usefull for somebody else, so,
for 3D0919148 tv tuner, in 54pin connector you have
av-1 video - 52,53(ground), audio - 47,48, 49(ground)
av-2 video - 45,46(ground), audio - 40,41,42(ground)
if you use 12pin connector (x00528) near right battery part number for jther part of it is - 4f0972112
av-1 video - 4,12(ground) audio - 1,2,7(ground) actualy if device that you gonna connect uses common groung you can do it also, but i like to do like it should be.
but this connector is 7pin, so, i replaced 50,51 pins in 54pin connector of tv-tuner to 45, 46 so i've made av-2 video input in the same place, on 5,6pin. I installed front camera and wired to av-2, also i've paralelled rear camera to aditional rca connector,
so i can connect gront or rear camera to av-2, and for av-1 i'm using apple tv(with ****ty hdmi2rca chineese converter) or android tv box x96(it hac anlaog video out mini-jack-three rca), still looking what is better.
but, for av-2 sound i've installed 40,41,42 to 54pin tv-tuner connector with rca on another side. sometimes i use some wires to drivers place to connect hifi mp3-player or phone, or, i use yamaha wxad-10 with airplay, so - no wires(it needs standart usb power). for connecting it to iphone i use usb stick wth 4g module and wifi acsess point, that is powered from some wires that powers of when ignition is off (there are a lot of varients to connect this way, or you can just use 12v rosette in boot)
for 3D0919146 (older-analog) tv tuner, in 54pin connector you have, and you dont need to change anything
av-1 video - 52,53(ground), audio - 47,48, 49(ground)
av-2 video - 50,51(ground), audio is common with av-1
if you use 12pin connector (x00528) near right battery
av-1 video - 4,12(ground) audio - 1,2,7(ground)
av-2 video - 5,6
as i can see, picture on new tuner is a bit better, but still it is retro

Quick question. What does H/Book mean on your radio? I'm trying to do the same thing you did but my radio doesnt have the Audio/TV button, just says audio, so I'm considering buying a used one that does and I see that all of the ones with Audio/TV have the top right buttons as TRAFFIC and H/BOOK. Mine says MAP and INFO.
What is the difference between these two radios?

Hello @Copperline ,
You can not just swap out your North America infotainment head for a ROW/EURO version with the "TV" button, as the ROW/Euro versions use DAB format for Digital Radio, and DVB-T and newer formats for TV, also, ROW TV broadcast signal formats do not match our North America formats, so no N/A TV broadcast signals formats software or hardware was ever installed on either the 146 or 148, as neither were any analog formats, as neither unit was ever built to include any USA formats, as we do not allow such device to be used in the vehicle... 😪
Also the Infotainment head units depending on location in the world, use different software versions, hence the traffic button, that's ROW, not N/A, the H/Book is the owners manual on screen, or a downsized version of it, again, that is ROW on the B, I added that feature in my A8L W12 just for the hell of it, really not worth it since it also takes up a slot in the 6 disc CD player, that is in the Audi of course, never tried it on the B.
So the 146 and 148 TV tuners are useless in the USA as a factory TV tuner, or even Digital Radio broadcast for that matter, they should be however useful as a input device such as a home receiver would, as you would input what ever you wanted into inputs AV-1 and AV-2, again, I did this on my 05 A8L W12 which has a factory rear seat entertainment system, but one would need to wear headphones in the rear seat while watching a movie, so I installed the 148 and input the RSE DVD player into the 148 AV-2 input which then allowed the picture on all 3 screens, 2 in the rear, and the main screen up front, but most importantly it allowed for the sound to be played though the whole vehicles sound system, and no need for the headphones if you didn't want to wear them, this was all plug and play on the Audi with the exception of adding the AV inputs into the 20 pin plug that Audi uses, I should note, that I do not have to watch whatever is playing on the rear screens, I can have NAVI on my screen while playing a movie in the back seat.
I know that I took this long, but I wanted to give as much as I can, my A8L and my Bentley GT do not have the TV buttons either, my A8L has a CD button, whereas the ROW would have a CD/TV button if so equipped, what I found with the A8L was that if I just kept pushing the CD button, it would change change to other sources, like the TV tuner, so the "Audio" may do the same on the Bentley, I do not have that answer yet, I will one day though, I have coded my Bentley infotainment head for TV, and it gives a fault for missing TV tuner, so the coding is possible, maybe later this week I will drop the shelf, finish my wiring for the factory multi media interface, rear view camera module, then plug in the TV tuner and see what the head unit does... 😀
But to be honest, I find myself turning the music off more often than on, and just listening to that beautiful Supersports engine through the AWE exhaust !

This is great information. What I am trying to do is install a backup camera ideally using factory equipment and modules. Because I have the Telephone module and at least I have the TV wiring in the trunk i was hoping I could get the camera module and install that. My other option is the NavTv thing but thats not as much fun as trying to get the factory stuff working.
I can easily buy a camera module and the camera but where and how to connect it to my existing TV harness is the issue. Then comes the issue of getting the screen to actually switch to the camera in reverse.
I did this in my Maserati using all factory modules etc and it works great. Took some work and investigating but it was well worth it.

When I did my Nav TV Ben Hur conversion, I had them install an HDMI in the ashtray area, I plug it into my iPhone for Netflix or whatever on my aftermarket Kenwood.
Not really a part of this discussion, but I thought it was at least tangentially related. I've only used it once or twice while waiting for my daughter, but I think it is the definition of "luxury" to have tv on your dash
Don't need to use it for it to be cool.

I'm trying to get through this OEM rear camera install and I'm wondering if anyone knows what the Coax connector on the Rear Camera Module goes to. Its the GRAY square connector on the module.

Yes, the RVC goes to the gray input socket on the RVC control module.

RVC = rear view camera, depending on weather you have a factory OEM RVC, it should have a gray plug for the video, and a power plug.

following this, i have a 2007 MY car, and i would like to add the reverse camera, i can source the module and the camera/loom parts as shown ,
however
i need to confirm i have the 'loom' in the car, or at least where the loom might go to for connecting the module to the large plug ( i cant find the large plug for the module ?)
pictures of the loom and where is goes would be fantastic if easily available ?
