Battery dead - Locked out after parking next to a wall
Hi all.
Really hoping someone is knowledgeable and kind enough to point me in the right direction please.
My Dad has a 2008 Bentley Continental GT Mulliner which is his pride and joy. As he stored it for winter and due to Covid he knew he wouldn't use it so parked the car against his wall and got out the passenger side. The battery has now died and he is unable to access the vehicle so I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to how he could gain access as the passenger door has no keyhole.
Thanks for reading,
Darren

That’s a tough one since the trunk needs electricity to open and the hood release is behind the driver door. If you were able to jimmy either trunk or hood, you be able to get power to the batteries or the terminals behind the air box.
If you can reach the driver door lock and get the keys in sliding yourself over the roof might be the worth a try if it won’t damage the roof/door and allows the door to open enough access to the hood release or keyhole for the ignition to try the key trick to switch to the other battery.
Short of popping windows or tail lights your best bet might be a locksmith to jimmy the door, trunk or hood. A good one should have your passenger door open in seconds.

There are some that don't even need jacks:

I recall there are some without even wheels.

Thanks
Thanks for the suggestions. The car needs to be in jack mode so the car doesn’t compensate for the fact it is being jacked through the suspension. As the car has 2 batteries the dealer has said that the second battery will stop the jacking and risk popping the bags in the suspension. Cheers for all the replies so far.

If you can't get into the car, how are you going to get it into jack mode?
...annnnnnd with no power it can't overinflate the bags trying to compensate.
But you can't get it into jack mode anyway because that also needs power.
Plus if you use skids, you're raising the wheels and therefore jack mode is not an issue.

Ugh,
There are simple manual ways to open.
need just to know how you want to access your car and have your key?
or,
need to get to the battery in the trunk
Both are easily solvable, but need to know which?
Car door of course has a manual key and can be extracted from your key fob.
Battery and opening the trunk can be accessed by pulling out the right side rear seat back. Underneath it, there is a lever/string to pull the trunk open
Hope, this helps,

Aha,
Did not see.
Worst case scenario. If the driver door is too close to even put a manual key inside it and the car was locked after the owner left the car.......
1. Manually open the passenger side. If you have locksmith skills, they would come in handy. Car doors aren't too difficult to open manually.
2. Then, manually open the trunk from the back of you car (as described above).
3. Charge the battery
4. You should be OK
Hope this helps,

Hello All, & @stockport1987 ,
I tried not to comment here as to not receive comments as to security, and how I should not speak on this... So I will not elaborate on it right now as to the passenger side door lock...
But, as to the comments of needing to be in Jack Mode... somebody is talking out their backside, the vehicle is dead, as in the house battery is dead, so use a floor jack and jack up the front and rear a little at a time and pull it from the wall, anyone who has ever used a floor jack knows how to swing the vehicle, you place the floor jack center of the rear bumper under the rear differential, jack it up until the tires are off the ground, then take the jack handle and pull it in the direction you want the vehicle to move, you do this a few time front and rear...
You have no power, therefore you have no suspension operation...
