Buying next daily - ContGT vs Flying Spur vs Bentayga vs Ghost

My current daily driver is a 2019 Continental GT W12, 3rd generation (UK based). It is driven few times a week for personal errands as well as business meetings. It is an excellent car. Comfortable. It has the power when I want it but I want a bigger car that can seat rear passengers with bigger boot space.

Price isn't an issue for my next daily. Nor am I bothered about depreciation and running costs. I'll be buying the cars new so either the 2021 or 2022 model. The car will be used for personal errands and business. I'll be using it in the city (central London), motorways, and country (narrow) roads. The shortlist for my next daily are:
- Flying Spur
- Bentayga W12 Speed
- RR Ghost
- Stick with Cont GT and order the new W12 Speed

I'd welcome any suggestions and experience by existing owners of the above cars. What are they like as daily drivers? Common issues encountered? V8 as a daily driver vs W12?

Not an owner of any of your choices, but some thoughts...

If you're driving, the Benteyga may be easier to navigate through and park in narrow places/crowded with the added height and perhaps less length than the long sedans and be more forgiving of discrepancies on country roads. RR Cullinan (not one of your choices) might give the height, though not sure about length. Lamborghini Urus might be another one to look at, but I suspect it's not as roomy as the others.

If you're being driven, go for the Ghost.

If your current GT is satisfying, you can't go wrong with a Flying Spur. Everyone comments on the space in the rear seating, accommodates any adult, not just the mini-folks who can fit in the GT. Larger wheel-base for a stable ride, same performance as a GT, maybe improved acoustics... having no experience with your other options I can't offer a comparison, but the Flying Spur should be a strong contender.

Do you ever feel like a chauffeur when driving the FS? And do you ever run into issues with narrows roads or parking due to its size?

Never feel like a chauffeur! Although now that I'm retired maybe if someone handed me the keys to a new FS I might just smile and tell them to call me 'Jeeves'.

I confess when parking I usually tend to park away from the pack, mainly to avoid dings and such.

Regarding size, after a quick scan of the Bentley web site, the Bentayga is approx the same width as the FS, while the FS is only 7 inches longer (18 inches longer than a GT) and has a wider wheelbase.

I'm thinking the first decision is sedan vs SUV. For me, although similar, I'd rather be a chauffeur than a soccer mom (no disrespect to soccer moms!) but everyone has their own needs.

I hope when you make your choice you post your choice and process here.

With the discontinuation of the Mulsanne, the new Spur was enlarged to be sort of a Mulsanne - Spur hybrid. Nice car. The Ghost doesnt do much for me, personally I dont see any real advantages over the Spur to justify the higher price, but maybe thats just me. I have a Bentayga as well as a GT speed, so obviously I like both of those. But it sounds as if another GT wouldnt really solve your problem. So if it were me, I would limit my choice to the Spur or the Bentayga. Both can handle 5 adult passengers, and reasonable cargo space. So it really comes down to which design you prefer........
