Any guidance on tire rotation on my 2013 GTC
#16
Agreed with John F, rotate front to rear and VV.
I do it on the A8L W12 all the time, saves the inside and outside tire edges wear from hard cornering... 😇
The S600 Brabus however has staggered wheels, so no rotation.
For the B I have two sets of wheels for summer/winter with tpms, I have only put 2600 miles on her since July with the new tires, so no rotation yet.

Johnny,
Do you have a sense of how many miles you can expect from a set of Pirelli's OEM (I'm coming up on 16,000 miles with the original tires on my 2013 GTC)?
Treads look good, but it's a summer tire (the car came from Southern California, very well maintained with 14,000 miles). My understanding is the summer
tires can be funky in cold weather, which we have here in Maryland winters. I don't want to switch to Michelins too soon. That's why I was wondering about
the tire rotation, to extend the useful life of the current tires.

Hello @tteplitzmd ,
With regards to your tires, I would be more concerned about their age, as they are coming up on 8 years old, depending on the date on tires.
When I purchased my GT with the (as far as I knew, original) Michelin tires, they looked like new, the vehicle only had 9000+/- miles on it, that was around September 2013, they had a small amount of cracking starting to appear, now as many know, my GT did not move under it's own power until March 2021, and below are some pictures of how they looked by 2015, so around 10 years old, and by March 2021 they were really showing the cracks, not just in the tread on the outer side, but on the inner sidewall where it meets the tread.
So for you safety, please give each tire a thorough inspection.
I will say that those Michelin's did not lose any air sitting in the driveway all those years, but rode like a truck when I finally took it out for a short test drive after the engine/transmission installation, the tires were rock hard.
Also, as you noted, summer tires are sensitive to cold weather, we had 46° overnight this past Thursday and Friday, and I took the B out around 12 noon Saturday, it was about 68-70° iirc, and the Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires were not happy, they were shaking the steering wheel enough to notice for the first 10 miles or so, I have these Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires on the S600, A8L W12, and the GT, all three vehicles behave the same when these tires are cold, but when I had the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's on the A8L W12, they did it daily on first morning drive for so many miles when cooler weather arrived, I didn't care for the Michelin's much, after going through 3 of them on the A8L, I switched back to Pirelli, and went with the P7, they have great wear, but were a bit noisy.
Being that I had never in the past ran strictly summer tires, I was amazed at the ride quality and traction they provided on the S600, so I put them on all three vehicles as stated above, I will say though, you do not want to drive summer tires in the cold winter, let alone snow... 😁

Tires
Thanks for the information, Johnny.
I've got no cracks so far, and don't drive the car in snow. But it does get cold in the winter here. Sounds like the Continentals might be the best option for
me if I don't want to have two sets of tires for different seasons?
The stock Pirelli Rossa are fine for most of the year, but clearly Maryland is not Southern California in the winter.
