Third brake light error disabling

fyi... found this... https://www.topeuromachine.com/produ...r-kit-2pcs-646
edit... they are simply 50w/6ohm resistors for those that may have electronic parts around or want to get them locally. Ordering these from Amazon to try out.
ps.... Resistors don't care about polarity, so no worries about wiring incorrectly.

As I told you in another thread this resistor will be hot. Too hot. you can watch video with similar construction fot turn light. It is completley failure. 100+ celsium. hot as hell, so ive made another system, and tested temp. in is not more then 60c for 10 mins of working.Hope soone we will see one more test from well know person here)

I was thinking to install the resistor further up the wiring, rather than having to open up the hard to reach rear area, so as to find a place that can dissipate the heat, perhaps under the hood or under in a body cavity with only metal. Where I am, not so much time spent sitting on the brakes and if it's a complete stop more than a minute, I usually throw it in park for safety, even at long lights.
also, just fyi.. wirewound resistors are good for around 300 celsius so no worries about the resistors frying. Just need to find an appropriate location and heat-sinking. One more option is to wire a few smaller resistors in series to get the same overall resistance and spread out the heat dissipation into several places.
