I have 2 Jaguars, a Maserati, Bentley, and 2 Mercedes AMGs. DIY service them all. Outside of tire service (no room for that kind of equipment) none of my cars have ever seen the inside of a shop.

If I relied exclusivity on dealer service, I could probably afford to maintain one of them. Maybe two at most.

In fact, I would probably be so frustrated with the costs, even then, my ownership would be short.

It is a satisfying Saturday morning when I've finished a maintenance project before lunch.

Exactly.

I do maintenance/repairs on our Maserati, Bentley, Cadillac, F150, farm vehicles, etc. Guess which 2 I would rather work on?

Wife's Cadillac here-- absolute nightmare. Nothing is shelded so winter driving means every single suspension or drivetrain job is a corroded bolt fight.
