Hi everyone
this is my first post….
i have recently purchased a 2010 Continental GT Speed and I am working through the usual known issues
new main battery and air suspension compressor already replaced
control arms, sagging roof liner,3rd brake light and broken dust cover on the gear shift all to replace / repair

i have one item that I am hoping that someone can help me with ??

the car has a multi pin iPod socket under the CD Player
I bought an adapter cable (an Audi cable I think) from E bay
the plug of the cable fits the socket fine
my I phone is charging ok when I plug it in
iPhone tells me that the Bluetooth is connected to “Bentley”
Spotify tells me that “Dock connection” is ok with a check mark / tick next to it but no music plays ??
does anyone have any advice what is going wrong ?
to overcome this issue I bought a Bluetooth unit which I plugged into the 12v socket of the glove compartment and tuned it to a blank radio station - music plays and Google maps play through the cars speaker but the sound quality is not too good and I would prefer to play music via the iPhone socket- it looks like that I am nearly there but need your help to get over the last hurdle

I’ve got a 2010 Speed with the same lead, the only way I can get mine to work is to plug my I pod into the lead let the car infotainment system connect to the iPod so the I pod displays the Bentley Logo then remove the iPod and reconnect my Bluetooth Adapter it’s a pain I wish there was some way that the car would remember the connection so I don’t have to do this every time I want to stream music.

 

Problem solved - I got another new cable (Audi A8) & things now work fine
When you select "CD" - a message "AUX" shows and the phone / spotify etc play directly
