Wastegate / Turbo problem

Hello all :-)

I have a performance problem with my car. Down around to 60 mph the power is extremely strong. After that, the power comes
spasmodically / jerkily until 140 mph. The top speed is actually not more than 140 mph.

My
mechanic things it is the wastegate (Turbo).

Now I want to replace both turbos and all parts, sensors and vacuum hoses because my model (2005) has the leak problem.

Of course I've already done the leak test, everthing is good. But this is no guarantee for the future.

In order to keep the costs less, I will overtake/revise the turbos and the starter.

I would be really grateful if you could help me.

Which parts should be change if the engine is out? Which of these parts are same like Phaeton parts which are extremely cheaper? Or should I only use original bentley parts?

I'm just confused and need advice.

I read that there are reinforced steel vacuum hoses. Where can I buy these?

Thank you very much for your help

Wish you a nice day and sorry for my bad English

Johnny knows the stainless steel guy. They're custom made.

I would change all four O2 sensors, the vacuum lines and the turbo waste gate controllers. If you search for the thread, I have written down the part numbers on the stuff I replaced. But O2 sensors for certain, vacuum lines for certain, waste gate controllers, probably.

Bad egt sensors will limit top speed. it will do exactly what you are describing. They rerard the timing to keep exhaust from getting to hot...which will keep top speed to about 130ish..you should be 130,140,150,160,170,175,180,183 ......208 mph been there done that.. egt sensors have cold solder joints only require resolder..

Here's the thread where Johnny talks about the custom stainless vacuum lines:

Thank you for your helps friends.

I changed one EGT 8 months ago and the problem was still existing. At this time I had an error in VCDS.

Currently I have no error in VCDS and no control slight error.

Could it be the EGT nevertheless?

Otherwise I would change both EGT again.

I read from am circuit board swap Audi (EGT). Is that recommended or rather original EGT from Bentley?

I have an appointment with my mechanic in 3 weeks. I organizing all the parts, now.

But still need your help.

Which parts would VW/Audi be identical?
After all, my vehicle is already 17 years old.

I don't want to throw money unnecessarily out

Which parts could I use as an aftermarket or VW/AUDI

I think:

- Engine mounts
- Belt tensioner and idler pulleys
- Valve cover gaskets
- All 4 Oxygen. I need the part number. I hope you can help me. Or do you think is the best way to order only original bentley parts.

Thanks a lot for your help
Wish your a nice day ;-)
