The longest your car has been at the dealer

I’m having some issues with my 16 continental GT speed

In June it was in the shop for a month for wheel bearings.

Now in August so far it has been in the shop for 2 weeks due to a crooked steering wheel that didn’t get fixed after an alignment as well as a clunk sound coming from the front left suspension.
Is this normal?

Mine spent 3 weeks or a month for a key copy process that didn't take more than two hours, according to what the dealer told me.
At first they blamed it on problems with my car, it finally turned out that the problem came from England sending some keys in poor condition.

I live 250 km from the dealership, they did not take care of anything with all the problems that this caused me.
Shameful for a brand in this category.

By the way, I asked about a question about the hands-free of my 2009 GT car, his answer was: I don't know, that car is very old.

Hello @TheManWithThe7 ,
I venture to say that your vehicle sat at the dealership just waiting for the parts to arrive, and then was fixed within hours for the job of wheel bearings, if I was a person who took their vehicle to the dealership for repairs, I would tell them to call me when the parts arrive, as to a 16 needing wheel bearings already, that would depend on the mileage, so I have to ask, what were the symptoms that came to wheel bearings ?

As to the crooked steering wheel, was it crooked prior to wheel bearing replacement, were there other issues that led to crooked steering wheel and bad wheel bearings, did anyone for any reason remove the steering wheel, as it does not have a one set point keyway for installation, at least on the 1st GEN, I actually put mine back on a few notches out during my rebuild, I thought it was my alignment of the subframe/suspension during installation of the engine transmission package, as I knew it wasn't the center steering alignment of the tie rods, as I never touched them, I removed the airbag and steering wheel bolt, and saw that I installed the wheel off of my mark I had made for that exact purpose...

Johnny

I bought the car cpo. As soon as I drove it home from NY to CT, I noticed I had to hold the steering wheel slightly to the right in order to go straight at highway speeds. If I let go of the steering wheel the car would veer to the left.

An alignment didn’t fix the issue.
I also noticed a clunk noise when turning my steering wheel to the right while backing out of my driveway.

I figured there was a suspension issue in the front left area for me to hear that clunk and for the car to be veering towards the left.

so far Bentley says they can’t replicate the clunk noise and they fixed a torn axle boot, fixed 4 bent rims and realigned it and they claim the car drives straight now.

I’m scheduled to pick it up tomorrow so I’ll see if the car is still veering to the left.

I had to get the wheel bearings replaced after I accidentally drove on some rumble strips for a few seconds on the highway and noticed a whining/wailing noise around 70mph

Not any expert on wheel bearings and further to what Johnny asked, but if driving on rumble strips for a few seconds on the highway caused damage to these, I'd wonder why they are so weak. That's not something I'd expect to happen (unless something more severe took place or there are underlying issues) or, as Johnny asks, possibly mileage related.

Curious what type of driving/life this car had prior to your purchase which may explain some of the problems you've unfortunately encountered. Hope it can all be sorted and back into shape. With CPO you should be able to force this to be 100% with little pushback.

Car is 16 GT speed with 35k miles on it.

I picked it up from the dealer and the steering wheel is still crooked. To make matters worse, when I got home from the hour long trip from the dealer, the red battery sign came on and I lost steering coming to a stop at a red light.
Will be taking it to another dealer to see if they can fix the issue. Anyone know what a battery usually runs at the dealer?
