Need help/advice with battery change for 2015 GTC Speed
Hello all,
I am in need of some advice re: the above. I believe stock OEM batteries are failing and want to replace both….. However, am very concerned about losing settings for windows etc. when batteries are disconnected. I have a CTEK Multi US 7002 battery charger that can also operate in support mode. My idea was to connect that to the car via either the magnetic mount or through the trunk socket before the exchange and remove once completed in order to maintain current to all systems during procedure ….. funny, like our “by-pass” machines in cardiac surgery.
Has anyone done this and does it make sense? Or any other ideas? Any input would be greatly appreciated. I don’t want to screw this up.
Many thanks,
Dr. Mike

VCDS couldn't communicate with the radio module:
Fixed, but not sure what the cure was?
I had car on Bentley charger overnight and the final light was green. I removed the single 40A amplifier fuse (above starter battery for base sound system). Re-installed fuse roughly 15 minutes later, started vehicle, and received a "System Starting. . .) message onscreen. It took another few minutes, but audio returned to all functions. I pulled that fuse multiple times, but not sure if I tried it after the batteries were installed and for how long? Anyway, everything is functioning normally!
