Heated steering wheel fault code

Today I did a module by module fault-checking & clearing of the codes with Ross-TECH VCDS and then I did a new automatic fault-checking after that.

There were quite a few errors. The heated steering wheel is still throwing a code, and I have never gotten it to work. It says:

Address 16: Steering wheel Labels: 3D0-953-549.lbl
Part No: 3D0 953 549 E
Component: Lenks‰ulenmodul 3401
Coding: 0000212
Shop #: WSC 00083 790 00000
VCID: 2F3B19E44B0CEE234E9-5160

1 Fault Found:
01747 - Sensor for Heated Steering Wheel (Z36)
010 - Open or Short to Plus

Any advice on how to proceed? Where is this sensor located and what can I do about it?

Thanks in advance!

Is there possibly a fuse related to just the heated steering wheel?

As I am in Sweden I would very much like for this to work... heh

I downloaded a 2004 copy of the owner's manual, but I cannot find a fuse that shows the heated steering wheel. I feel like it should need its own fuse, or be a part of a fuse, at least? Anyone have a newer fuse diagram?

Edit: Mine is a 2008.

Does your car even have a heated steering wheel? My 2005 does not....

Perhaps it was a later feature? I do not know. But I for sure have the little circular button on the right side of the steering wheel, and when I press it the dash says "Heating steering wheel", or something to that effect. Unfortunately the steering wheel doesn't receive any heat, and it throws a fault code at the same time.

Sorry for some reason I thought you had an '04 or '05. AFAIK they didn't have the heated steering wheel. One button on the left side of the wheel which would turn the wheel lights on/off.

That's a great profile pic!
