Very weird door lock problem

Very weird door lock problem
As Johnny is well-aware, I went through the depths of hell and back when I lost the only key to my 2005 Continental (purchased with only one key).
My new keyset, ordered from Crewe, England, a fiasco of its own) fits the ignition, but not the door lock. Johnny says this is normal, that the ignition is protected by the Kessy immobilizer so any key works in the ignition, but only the car key fits the door lock.
My keyset was cut in Crewe to my VIN, but the new keys do not fit the door lock. I removed the lock and confirmed it is a key/lock problem, not a broken lock or internal mechanism.
I took the cylinder out with the key to a good locksmith, they say they can't re-key the lock to fit the key because they can't find "parts" for Bentley locks. Is it a Bentley lock? Or is it a VW/Audi or some other part out of the Audi bin?
Does anyone know if the locks are coded to the keys? My key has two different three letter identifiers which don't match the lock three letter identifier.
I need some advice: I need the lock keyed to the key, or can I just change out the high-security key blade and have a new key blade coded to the key?
I tried to find a high-end locksmith I could ship this to, but the search engines just show local folks.
I've contracted my dealership, they claim that my door lock cylinder must have been changed in the last 18 years and absolve themselves of responsibility. I don't even disagree; they're probably right, why else would my VIN not match with a key? But then it's weird, why change the lock and if you're going to change it why change it to a random key?
Any advice from anyone? Can I just take this thing apart and take out the pins, so the key just turns (fine with me), or do I just need a locksmith who doesn't know it is a Bentley?

Hello @British ,
I am happy to see that you finally got the lock cylinder removed from the door, BUT, I believe that you have left out one very important piece of key information, that being that the new key-blades actually do turn the lock cylinder in one direction, that is to the lock position, just not the un-lock position, therefore I still say that you have a faulty lock cylinder itself, also, if I recall correctly from our phone calls, these new keys also fit and turn the glove box lock cylinder, and yes, as we discussed, anyone could stick a flat blade screwdriver in the ignition switch and turn it left or right, as it has no tumblers.
As to the numbers on your key blades and lock cylinder, I have the same, with the exception of one extra number on the lock cylinder, the piece I have is a 3W0/5 837 167, along with the same ZP5, with a date code of 2/05, the FAB and the HAA.
As to the tumblers being removed, these are not as simple as older lock cylinders like ford and GM, where one could simply pop off as long cover and have all the tumblers and springs pop out, our lock cylinders have a flat lock cylinder retainer pressed into each side of the cylinder housing, I have not attempted to remove these, as I do not want to damage a working lock cylinder.
If you want the cylinder and key-blade I have, give me a call, BUT, be aware, this key-blade will NOT lock you glovebox or air bag switch as far as I recall.

Thanks, as always Johnny. I think I'll end up buying it from you since I'm having no luck with the locksmith. Perfect answer would be to have my lock fixed.
Do you know what the manufacturer is? It looks a ton like the Porsche Cayenne and the VW Passat key cylinder, but neither are quite a match. The locksmith has no idea how to get parts like pins and such, if I could say, "Try Audi R7" it might help.
My biggest issue is that if the battery dies, I get locked out. I fitted a battery conditioner with a plug run to outside (in the bumper) so that is always an option.
What advice do you have for me talking a locksmith in to opening this thing up?

Update: locksmith said it was obviously a standard VAG lock, but it wasn't made to be taken apart. He was experienced enough to know how to do it, he said drilling two small holes would release it and he could get at the inside to see if something was broken.
The only problem with this is that it's been two weeks and I haven't heard from him so I fear the worst, that it didn't work.
I'll check in tomorrow and see if he was able to key the lock to my key or whether he's going to hand it back to me in pieces and I'll have to buy Johnny's lock.

The "ZP5" seems to be an interesting designator for VAG locks, but I can't find a lock on another car that matches closely enough. The Porsche Cayenne and the VW Passat seem pretty close but ultimately the housing isn't shaped correctly for the trim on the outside.

@British ,
I hope you are having a great weekend.
I agree, I believe that the lock cylinder housing is a one time use as designed, that doesn't mean that we can't open it, I just don't want to open a good cylinder with a matching key-blade, I guess you missed my text message, I was wondering what happened, I suggested that you send your lock cylinder and just the key-blade to me to check out.
You are welcome to my lock cylinder and matching key-blade, although I only have one blade, but, you could get a copy of my key-blade to have two, then swap out the two key-blades onto your new keyfobs, they won't match your glove box, but when's the last time you locked the glove box..
