I believe my max mileage default was overlaid by a inferior diag tool
If someone can be kind enough and look at channel 43 in "17 Instrument panel" module and tell me what's in there
If you have a launch x431 or even a simple AP200 .. it is easily done
If someone need I can walk you thru it - probably take 5 mins tops

Yes

The max number of days is easy 365 but the mileage is what I am looking for

I know the workshop and user manual says 10k miles but i don't believe that was the value stored. I am not sure if the variable service feature requires a number like 100 in the valve or do I just put a fixed 16 ( km )

I am just trying to verify what the factory put in for USA cars

15000km - is the default , you can change it thru adaptation using vcds - you put multiplication of 100

when you are near to the service millage - about 3000km before you got reminder message on the dash.

you have 2012 - long coding or short coding?
i refer to my 2005 which is short coding - just to clarify.

never was interested when (and if) they mod to long coding and dont know if there were changes in defaults thru years.

 

Is it 15 not 16 k ?..according to the WSM I have it is 16000km which translates to 10000 miles

Hence wanting to confirm a USA version car by looking at the actual channel before i change it

I will even take a screen print of the menu from the dashboard of someone who services their car at a Bentley dealership and at what mileage it was done previously...that should give me a good idea which the need of any tools

I updated channel 43 to 16 and channel 44 to 365

Now the info center shows a 10000 mile and one year service interval adjusted for miles/days already driven

I think this is correct ..if someone in the USA has a gen 2 w12 Bentley please attach a pic of the info center service information screen and also state mileage/date of last service .. this should confirm that my input is correct
