Window regulator testing

I have a new to me 2005 CGT that has given me fits with the drivers rear quarter window. I understand the calibration process and sequence which has worked until recently (this forum has been a great help with information regarding this). The window motor eventually failed (I think) so I purchased a used unit and it worked for a few times however now I am at the same spot I was previous where the motor only responds with a relay type clicking when commanding either up or down. I have manually felt the regulator and it "feels" fine however I don't have any other options than to rebuild it at this point as the motor did work (but I can't prove it's good/bad either). The other issue that I am sure is not helping me in diagnosis is what I feel may be a close to faulty house battery. It's a one year old Interstate that when I took it to them it tested good however if it's not left on the charger daily my voltage goes low (10V). I'm hoping someone here can give me some guidance on the regulator for testing purposes and to let me know just what to expect regarding what I will call parasitic draw on the battery. I appreciate your help guys!
