Hi all.
Im building a Time Attack Race car and been researching manual transmissions for our Continental Gt cars.
The company, who is a very well known transmission manufacturer, has told me they are designing a manual transmission atm. Its only a design on paper atm. They would require a minimum run of units so they asked me to put the feelers out and see if there was interest out there. The transmission will be specifically for the W12 engine also used in VW/ Audi cars .
What are your thoughts?

 

ZF S6-650 is the manual transmission used in Audi S6.

ZF is basically a transmission manufacturer for VW family incl Audi and Porsche.

 

Thats what I thought he meant, however and apparently its a bespoke motorsport derived trans and not a ZF item.
It wasnt until we hung up the call that I wondered if he was talking about awd or rwd.
I suppose I will find out later.
