2014 Bentley Flying Spur- Bentley Newbie question
#17
Hey @Randy V , you mean of my vehicle or of the issues mentioned ?
For my vehicle, I still need to take proper interior photos as the ones I have are kind of low quality from dealership ad but my PPF guy did a webpage after the PPF if you want to see some exterior photos:

When I replaced the struts with the ones from Alpine on my '09 they were too stiff so I first applied FluidFilm to the hinges but that didn't solve it so I applied it to the strut pistons, opened and closed manually a few times to work it in and then all was well. Another trick is to use one new and one old strut which is what I did till I got the FluidFilm.

Hello @EightFunds ,
The fact that the battery drops to below 25%, and then only takes an hour or less to fully charge, is an issue in of itself, that is the behavior of a battery that has lost it's capacity, I know you say the batteries are new, but how new, who installed them, where were they purchased, what is the date on the failing battery ?
A load test is suggested for both batteries.

both batteries replaced 12/1/23 at a European Indy affiliated with the Mercedes Benz dealership where I bought the vehicle. Multiple people checked the batteries when the trunk issues started and they passed load tests. I just thought that’s just how the charger worked *shrug*
of note , the rear entertainment system remote magically started working ! lol I guess this is what you meant by some of these issues “working themselves out”. Haven’t had lube delivered to the house yet, been busy traveling so have been away from the car often :/

I wouldn't use the CTEK lights to determine battery condition. If I remove the charger connector when it shows green then connect it again 5 minutes later it'll spend a little time going through the stages before showing green again.
