2014 Flying Spur rear sunshades binding

The rear 2 sunshades in my flying spur are not closing or opening properly. One side doesn’t open and the other side doesn’t close. It’s odd that both of them are acting up at the same time? I can hear the noise that it is physically hitting something. Please advise.

@Dgeedhar ,
Didn't you just have the rear door glass serviced on either door, if so, that would explain at least one of the door shades not working.

Yes Johnny. The left side rear quarter glass was replaced in November 2023 and the right side was just replaced a couple weeks ago. I just fixed the right side sun shade by realigning it and pushing it back in place. The left side however is lower on one side and higher on the other. It is not budging when I pull it.

I take it that you are pulling up on the switch while at the same time pulling the shade, being it is cockeyed, the roller is most likely jammed, a little more force may be required.

Yes you are correct Johnny. It is cockeyed and I am pulling it up while pressing the switch up.

So I was pulling it up with a medium amount of force and the right side was fixed. I tried the left side and it made the sunshade come off of the hook on the side. Nothing seems to be broken but the hook is slightly bent. If I can manage to get the left side’s back up to level then i think it’s good.
