Still have 3 beeps on start up but nothing on dash

So I had my sensor changed on Friday for my suspension which I thought was the final light to get taken care of but I’ve still got 3 audible beeps from behind me seats on startup!!

Here is my VCDS output.

I’ve got a Earth noise on startup and have just replaced my 6x9 speakers but not getting any bass either and the feedback noise is like a cracking now and again but don’t think that’s anything computer related.

Any thoughts welcomed.

Hello @CUE99T ,
By your voltage reading of 11.39 volts as shown in address 53, I take it that you are scanning the vehicle with the engine off, nor are you using a battery charger during said scan, it is best to do one or the other, you do not want to keep drawing the battery down.

As to your scan, I believe I read recently that you had a fault for the front right level sensor, (unless I have the wrong person), if so, and you replaced it, did you go into and clear the fault code for said level sensor, also, have you cleared all fault codes one by one, and not by clear all on the Ross-Tech VCDS, I find that going into each address (module) one by one is the best way to 100% clear each fault, as I have seen it fail to clear all in one shot.

You do have 25 faults as shown by the scan, some I recall from your previous scan, are those items still left unrepaired, such as KESSY antenna faults in the rear bumper, or interior, the exhaust flap, steering column fault, etc. for the steering column, move the steering column up and down to it's furthest point each way, and hold the **** for movement a few seconds on each direction, this will set the calibrations for the steering column module, just as you do for each window, and seats.

As to the faults of the 2 bass speakers, is it possible that it is the rear bass speakers in the doors, I will try to look up R21 & R-23.

As to the 3 beeps, there is nothing factory that would beep behind the seats, unless, you are hearing the PDC for the rear bumper sensors beeping through the rear seat side panel mid speakers, why it is only 3 beeps, is odd, if something is close, it should continue, can you describe the beeping, or post a video of it, is the possibly something aftermarket in the back seat ?

Johnny

Hi @Johnny Hotspur GT , yes that was me.

i think I did the scan with the engine off but ignition on. Is it better to do it with engine on?

i ordered parts from Flying Spares and they came last week.

I had my local garage who does high end cars and actually had 2 Bentley GT’s in with mine so the guys are pretty good with the car and yeah I had them replace the suspension sensor (lights now out) and upper control arms (noted from another thread for slight vibration in steering wheel - doesn’t seem to have worked right enough) and they also changed the 6x9’s out in the doors but I’m wondering if it also requires me to replace the other round speakers in the doors. I got half way home with speakers working but they then seemed to drop the bass depth sound and now it’s back to not as bad as it was but deffo no bass depth in sound.

The suspension sensor error light was out when I picked the car up so the guys maybe put it out or the car reset itself once the part was replaced. Anyway that scan is after I did a scan, then saved it (I have that logged) and then took the car for a quick spin to see what the next scan would show, which is what’s added in here.

When I open the passenger door I hear a cracking feedback also like an Earth problem.

I’ll get a video tomorrow if the beeps - it’s so frustrating as I’ve no idea what it is but it sounds like it comes from the rear of the car but inside the cockpit!!

I didn’t get the guys to do the antenna stuff as I’m gonna get the Bentley dealer to do a large service and will get them to do them I think and try and get the Keyless Go working as the keyless start does work.

I actually did the seat and steering column factory reset as my seats seemed to have lost their memory settings so it’s working fine now for column and seats - just since you mentioned it.

@Johnny Hotspur GT - So a quick Google.....and a look in my glovebox.....suggests it's maybe a tracker fitted to the car (got 2 key fobs for a tracker in the car but not active) and could be the 3 beeps.......found some other forums discussing beeps and trackers......might have a look in the boot!!

FFS need to remove if it is as its so annoying!

Good afternoon @CUE99T ,
I am not sure what happened with your latest scan, but it is nowhere near complete, as it is only showing 8 items (addresses) out of the 36 for your vehicle, please rescan after a full locking and unlocking of the vehicle, along with a short drive, as after clearing every code one by one, you need to access the vehicle as a normal operation, not just clear and rescan without use.

Which brings me to your comment of "2 fobs for a tracker", can you post a picture of the fobs, as I believe that because your scan at address 18 shows the "Aux Heater", with part number "3D0 815 005 AC", that your vehicle has the Webasto auxiliary heater, therefore the 2 fobs are for said heater control, coincidentally also number 18 in the diagram below.

Johnny

Johnny
I sometimes get 3 loud beeps when the chair back isn't in the fully locked position but you do get a dash alarm as well though.?

So @Johnny Hotspur GT I don't have those type of fobs as I've seen them on an old Range Rover I had back in 2008 so I know what they look like - these are like a credit card size but fatter and have NavTrak on them so definitely just trackers fobs. I've had these before and you're supposed to keep them on your person so the car detects them missing.

I'm also thinking I maybe can't count and its 5 beeps!! lol

I'm going back out now to scan the car so will revert back shortly with a video and scan. lol

Also did this for NatvTrak Google Search....which is maybe why I've heard 3 ad 5 beeps......

If the fob's present you hear 3 beeps from the dashboard. If not, 5 beeps. If you start the car without the fob, NavTrak call you up to see why. The service will use GPS to locate the car constantly even if the engine hasn't been started e.g. if it's being towed or if the car battery is flat/disconnected.
