Bad day turns into new ride
Hello everyone...
Back on Nov. 17 I had my truck stolen from the back parking lot of a restaraunt. I had a Ram SRT-10 that was supercharged with ECU upgrades and a high flow exhaust system. She was dyno'd at 643 RWHP and 775 ft/lbs of TQ. There were very few cars/trucks that could run with it from a standing start. The only downside was the 4:56 gears peaked out at 140 mph.
Our insurance company here makes you wait 30 days to see if your vehicle shows up before paying you out. By the third week I began looking around for something new. Replacing the horsepower was a high priority. One afternoon I decided to take my wife's Jag to the dealer for an oil change and regular service. They also handle Land Rover, Aston Martin, Benley & Rolls Royce. Someone had just traded in their 05' Silver Bentley GT for a new GTC. After some negotiating I was able to buy it with only a $500/mos increase from the leae I had on my truck.
I've loved the shape of this car from the first time I saw it. I think it is one of the sexiest looking cars made today. Throw in the 552 HP and it's a no brainer for any speed junkie.
I have a few questions for current owners about some of the upgrades and improvements I've heard talked about here on the forum.
1. I would like to add an IPOD interface and also satellite radio. Has anyone done this without disturbing the stock system? And if so, what brand items did they use?
2. For those that have done the GIAC software upgrade, are you happy with the performance improvements and was it worth the money?
3. Has anyone figured out how to get better detail from the NAV unit? The lowest zoom I can get is 200 ft. but there are no street names on the map deatil just major points of interest.
Regards,
Ernie...
