Search for European Delivery. I know a few people have done it, and I have never heard anything negative.
I was going this winter for a 335i coupe but canceled the trip for an M3.

I've read a TON of stories on bimmerfest they have a whole section for it and everyone documents it. It should be more than enough to put him over the edge.

I dont get the point of the euro delivery...that is if you live here in the states. How would you bring the car over after your two week vacation there? Probably ends up costing more.

Its worked into the cost of the whole "package".....i think it actually comes out a bit cheaper to do the euro deliv......or right about the same.

Yup, you're discounted off the price of the car if you opt for the ED. At the end of your little getaway with the car you just drop it off at the port and it's brought back here.

yeah. usually there is a few hundred dollar charge for euro, but thats for incidentals and the car is discounted anyway so its cheaper.

the manuf. handles the shipping just like it would normally so the only cost you incur is the cost of your holiday, flights, petrol etc.

very cool way to see europe in your own car.

KevinM did it for his CLS55 and has a write up somewhere.

exactly...plus you get to break in and drive your own car on real roads in the old country to give it some heritage

My M3 was actually a euro delivery for the original owner. I have all the paperwork and think its kinda neat. He actually was in the military and drove it there quite a while before having it shipped back as part of the ED package. I am definitely doing this one day...maybe sooner than later if I can bring an e92 M3 CSL back to the states. I think it would make the perfect vacation and be worth taking a month or two off to drive all over europe and hit as many tracks as possible

We did it last year for my wife's 3 series convertible. Great deal. Discount, use of the car, no rental car expense, etc. The new delivery center is supposed to be incredible.

1% cheaper (pays for your airfare), and so much fun.
