m3 cons

i am thinking of picking up a e46 03 bmw m3, if the deal falls throught then trading the 740il for 08 335i.

So let me hear what you would do.
get a 03 m3 or 08 335i?

raja

ps. of course the color has to be white. :-)

Haha, a familiar situation. Have you seen my comparison of the two in my thread?

He posted in that thread a few times, and even PMed you, according to one of his posts. Looks like he's thinking of buying his brother's old M3.

As for choosing between the two, I think it's pretty well established that the M3 is a better sports sedan, while the 335i is a better daily driver. If I had to have only one car, I'd pick the M3 myself. Since I've got an M Coupe, I'll likely snag a black/saddle 335xi sedan as my daily driver down the line.

yeah that is the dilemma used vs. new.
the 335i is such a sweet car, but a M is a M after all.

i love the m3 and the engine. but a car is at best during delivery miles (from birth) hence a new car is better than a used one.

Yeah except his brother's is silver and he wants a white one. And he posted last before I wrote up my conclusion on the two.

Oh and Raja, you have PM.

E46 M3 sounds like crap and SMG is probably the worst paddle shift out there now.

I haven't driven 335 and i question the engin life with a turbo.

If it's your daily, I'd go with 335. New car w warranty and a softer ride.

So you'd buy a car based on what it sounds like?

Name a car in the E46 M3 range that has a true sequential gearbox..?

Alpine White was hot, but Silver Gray is starting to really grow on me.
