Thats correct. These cars in stock form dyno all day long at 285 to the wheels. Assuming the typical 15% drivetrain loss --- puts crank HP at 335. I have the SSTT on my '08 335 and it is putting out about 380HP at the crank.

15% Drivetrain loss is pretty high for RWD. What BMW source provided that #?

Who said it was a BMW source? Its just an industry standard that nearly all the tuners I have dealt with use as well as SCCA.

BMW says about 13% for a manual car, so I multiply the dyno numbers by 1.15, which is almost exactly a 13% loss.

Wheels are 19" 8.5/9.5 ASA AR1 (under BBS license).

In a year and 8,000 miles, I've never had any issue whatsoever.

So, it's 13% DTL, not 15%.

Unfortunately not, but those numbers: 13% for manual (x1.15) and 15% (x1.177) for step come from a respected BMW Master Technician.

For my Ferrari with its transversal gearbox, my Ferrari Master Technician says the drivetrain losses are higher than for a regular manual transmission and he uses 15%, which would kind of correlate nicely with the BMW claim.

Anyway, use whatever number you feel comfortable with. I hear the SSTT is a great tune.

Not trying to start anything, but it is also possible to figure out those drivetrain loss #'s by dividing RWHP #'s by 1- the % loss.
EX for manual: 300 RWHP/ 1-0.13 = 344.82 HP or 300*1.15=345 HP

Just seemed like it may be easier than remembering the conversion #'s. I work in real estate and we have to do this a lot for closing documents and it was much easier because there is no conversion #'s to remember. I am sure that most everyone here knows this, but far any who don't it makes things much easier.

I just test drove a STOCK 335i coupe, and I must say that it was blisteringly quick as is. I was blown away at how quickly it goes from 80-120. I cannot even imagine what this car would be like with an extra ~80 HP. This car definitely represents an incredible value for the money.

That is an awesome car 403 RWTQ- that would be a real kick in the seat.
