No joke, that could have easily killed someone judging by the damage that it did to that hood.

It's really hard to believe that the fan did that kind of damage judging by where the hole is. I don't think anything made of thin plastic can do that much damage to steel.

Keep in mind the E46 M3 hood is pretty thin aluminum.
